Napkin Holder

Had a 6" X 18" piece of sheet aluminum from Home Depot gathering dust on my work bench so used the scroll saw and drill to make a simple and light napkin holder for our new dining table.

Paula, try Blair or Woman Within. They have a variety of sizes. A Blair large is equivalent to a medium Woman Within.

None. Not a one. It was a perfect drop-in replacement. [emoji106]

How did this turn into the “ill-fitting clothes I regret buying for myself” thread? Please, please, take discussion that to another thread.

Thanks, but never much impressed with overall quality of Blair, and Woman within has good t-shirts, but most are cotton... blends wear and wash better IMHO.

In the past few weeks after bringing home my new to me 2014 FC 23D:
--Sendel 15 inch wheel upgrade; tires next after wheels arrive, either Michelin or Endurance. (NOT looking to start a tire-argue thread lol, plenty of threads for feedback on that!) http://www.trailer-wheels.com/15x6-A...l#.WxbzChkh1FQ
--PD4655 converter/charger. --Micro Air Easy Start on the AC.
--Replacement brass catches for all the cabinet doors. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
--Elongated toilet to replace the round, cramped OEM one http://www.dyersonline.com/dometic-l...and-spray.html

--SmartPlug 30 amp inlet and receptacle. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Brass anti-siphon valve to replace cheap plastic one on black tank flush. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Plenty more things in the pipeline!

Mattress

New RV Queen mattress from Holder Bedding in Anderson Indiana. They made a custom firm corner mattress for our previous 23 Safari that was wonderfully comfortable. So we decided to give them another call for our 28 foot Flying Cloud. Same quality, same comfortable firm mattress. We drove almost 4 hours to pick it up. Well worth the effort.

For outdoor activities such as trekking, I use men's 5.11 pants, the ones made for law enforcement, although if you don't have a retail outlet near you, it would be difficult to confirm size and fit. They make women's clothing but the quality of the fit is terrible - it was their own female salespeople who told me to try the men's instead. Double knees, Teflon-treated fabric, tough, and lots of cargo pockets.

For shirts, I find as many really stretchy quick-dry T-shirts as possible. Higher-end Brooks and Under Armour for instance. And Smartwool.

Painful collision with ZipDee awning

My wife and I had our first trip in our 27FB Flying Cloud about two months ago. On that trip, I had the shoreside awning deployed, and proceeded to walk into the front arm of the awning, breaking my glasses and raising a bump on my forehead. OUCH!! I didn't even see the arm, albeit I wasn't looking for it.

Two months later, my wife suggested a solution as we were shopping at Home Depot. There was a display box of swim noodles, and she suggested that one of those foam tubes could be the solution to walking into the awning arms.

I bought two ORANGE noodles (only needed one), cut longwise into the center of the noodle, cut the whole noodle in half, and fitted each piece to the "elbow" of the arm at each end of the trailer. They fit perfectly, no ties needed. See the picture below with my wife Donna simulating the incident.

Small pieces of the noodles on each corner of a raised window works great too. Those outside corners do some damage when you walk into them full-speed!

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

For securing our bikes en route to Salem, a Pipeline Racks (truck bed) bike rack.

http://www.lakelandgear.com/index.ph...mart&Itemid=24

Will need to adjust how we pack the bed, but seems like a good option and I like not having to remove the front wheels on the bikes (like some designs.)

Okay, that about does it for now as I need to save up some money for the gas guzzling V10 (an OPEC ‘Top 10’ favorite.)

Regards - Ron

(p.s. - yes, I realize this is technically not for the trailer, but close enough. I have all the basics covered on the trailer, so my next upgrades may need to be planned with a crowdsourcing thread on the forum, backed by a gofundme campaign. Well... perhaps not, given the wide diversity of opinions here on all-things AS.)
