After seeing that beautiful woodwork, I'll bet some company could make aftermarket tables for Airstreams and keep busy!

Did you get the internal or external sensors? Did you change out the valve stems? If so, which did you use? Stock wheels?
It's my next purchase.

Thx Jack,
I was wondering about the capacity that the new Expedition has in cargo. There is a yellow sticker on the drivers side door that will tell you what the max weight or payload is. Should be between 1200-1800 pounds, I would think.
That tells you how many people, gear, trailer tongue weight you can handle.
I’m trying to decide if I need a pickup truck for the payload or if a SUV like yours will carry enough payload.
Thx

Still curious what the yellow sticker of yours says for payload.

Some are still confusing payload with tow capacity.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?
I went to that sight and all it has is tow capacity. No payload info.

To stream or not to stream...weboost Drive 4G-X RV. Made a huge difference between being able to stream e.g. Netflix, YouTube. It works. We love it. And we installed it sans drilling any holes. Drillaphobia and all that. Happy New Year’s!

That is a promising new model of the Expedition. Good choice, and it looks great.
I checked out two versions last week. Both were loaded Limited models.
One was the MAX, the longer one, with four-wheel drive. Payload was 1,660 pounds.
The other was the regular length, in two-wheel drive. Payload was 1,580 pounds.

How did you install without drilling? I would love to hear how you did it, where you located the antennas, wiring, etc.

We have the 4G-X WeBoost as well. Did not go with the “RV” package as another member (lewster, who does this for a living) on here recommended the 4G-X with an Omni SureCall for the exterior antenna and the Wilson Flat Plate Indoor Ceiling mount antenna for the inside.
-Omni Antenna mounted as far aft as I could get it on the roof.
-Wire routed down the refrigerator vent into the cavity between the refrigerator and the entertainment cabinet. Remove the vent cap, route the wire through the screen and into the cabinet. Easy. Replace the vent cap using Sikaflex 221 to hold it down.
-Mounted the 4G-X on the ceiling in the entertainment cabinet.
-Mounted the Wilson Flat Plate Indoor Antenna on the ceiling in front of the refrigerator. Gives broad coverage inside the trailer vs. having to be right next to the weboost table antenna.
-Everything I did was according to the way lewster does his Airstream installs. There are a couple of threads on this in the Forum if you search for it.
-It all works great just like he said it would.

We made an upgrade for our AS’s tow vehicle. Installed Bilstein 5100’s for the front and rear. Used to have Ranchos and never liked the performance. Test drove with new shocks and the ride is 200% better. Rode over pothole-ridden roads, rail road tracks, “spirited” turning...the overall performance is amazing. The ride is so much more comfortable and less fatiguing. Now I know I’m driving a truck, not a dump truck.[emoji12]

Bought a Parkit360 powered trailer dolly to help park the AS in a tight garage situation.
Got a great deal on a demo unit, which pushed me over the edge.

Stupid question, but how does the indoor antenna connect to the Weboost? I assume by a wire? If so, where did you run the wire? Is it visible?
Thanks

The wire runs into the dead space above and between the refrigerator and TV then into the electronics cabinet through the access for all the other cabling that runs in there. Drilled small hole in panel above and to right of the refrigerator. A little less than an inch of the antenna cable is visible. Others have drilled into the aluminum ceiling so the cable is completely concealed. I chose not to do that. Easier to replace a single wood panel than an interior aluminum panel if my needs ever changed.

EXCELLENT TO HEAR ! Been contemplating this 5100 upgrade for our 2014 1500 Sierra Denali for some time as still having the original stock shocks.
Many say originals are just mushy crap and it's been feeling more and more that way...especially when towing. Been hearing many like report of substantial improvement with the 5100s. Think we'll get these ordered now. Thanks !

Mind sharing your purchase and install? Did you buy them on line, and install yourself? I'm thinking of going with the 5100s for two vehicles. Would like to find a deal..
