I unboxed the power cable. It's big, it's pretty heavy, as I expected. But it coils easily, and the smooth outer jacket looks like it should clean easily.
Tomorrow, I'll leave it in the sun for a while, then over/under it into a 2' coil. that should be enough to get in the storage door.
Over/Under is an acquired skill (easy to learn) that allows a cable to unwind without twists because you've put one coil "over" and the next coil "under". It's just about impossible to describe, but easy if you watch it. Nice neat coils in the bay, I do everything that way, even water hoses and rope.

No. That's the same company, but that's an EXTENSION cord.
It has a 50 amp male on one end, but a matching 50 amp female on the other. The Airstream uses a three pin twist lock with a side ground. It's keyed to only go in one way.
It's called a SS2-P50 or Marine locking 50 amp plug.

What Did You Get For Your Trailer Today?

Any well-trained US Navy sailor both knows what you are talking about, and coils power cords and shore water hoses, hawsers, and other ground tackle the exact same way. Boy Scouts also know this skill, had they been paying attention....[emoji3] My three Eagle Scouts do...

Decent video on how to wrap cables and hoses using over/under. Wow, can't wait to try this, because right now I truly dislike our water hoses, which never want to lie flat or wrap up gracefully

Cord over - under is one of the coolest things I learned as an adult.

Use it for extension cords, headphone cords, hoses, and my AS power cord.

Thank you for pointing out the difference. I try to use Amazon when I can as where we live most stores charge more for shipping. More often than not we can use Amazon Prime to get items shipped for free.

Here is an Amazon link for same item Mollysdad found on eTrailer.

90 Deg Led Detach Power C https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01FZBJ5E0..._0JfcAb3P5Y2RN

Once it's in your muscle memory, you can't stop coiling that way.

We once asked a local hire if he knew how to over under, and he said, "Sure, over my hand and under my elbow."

Here's the graduate course: If you come across a cable that's very long and has been wound on a reeler, (many twists) throw it over your arm and pull off ten turns. Then flip it to the other arm and take off another ten turns. Continue.
Magically, it unfurls with no twists. (I didn't believe it either, until I did it)

Except that's $158 for a 30 amp cable.

On e-trailer that cable is $68.
https://www.etrailer.com/RV-Wiring/M...-3025ED90.html

The one on Amazon MUST be 50'. Even so, that's expensive.
(same cable 50' is $74.)

I have no affiliation with e-trailer, I just like to shop around. If I could beat them, I would.)

I added one of these handy little devices today. It was inexpensive - under $20. THey are popular in the tiny house movement.

Sorry, just saw this. The 4x8 sheet of Wilsonart Asian Sand laminate was from Lowe’s. The high gloss finish was not in their system so they called Wilsonart and their distributor to confirm they were ordering the correct finish. It was around $100.

I ordered two of the Husky power cord storage describer above. I went to several vendors web sites and the prices ranger from $6.29 to over $24 each. The low ball prices had shipping charges over $12. The lowest cost turned out to be Amazon on my Prime membership at $12 each as freight was prepaid.

It is for the tow vehicle cord - not your power cord.

I have adopted a different approach to the cord storage.

I take it off !

Also, I have the problem of the European connection.
I wanted to keep the possibility of USA connection.

Two cords would have been very ugly.

I made a box with two plugs.

And I can plug the cord who is doing well between trailer and car.

Camera now installed and paired to TV. Screen does not block view. The 7in Voyager screen provides a much nicer view. Standard mount angle shows rear bumper, but limits the view of traffic to what is quite close behind. We adjusted up just slightly to give more view of the road and it works better for us. Glad we made the change.
