Bob,
Question. I used to do that with previous SOB. Why can't one connect the air line to the water inlet on the shore water system an pull the plug on the water heater? Trying to learn in case I might need to do this on AS sometime..thanks

DT,

Never tried that, probably would work if the by-pass valves aren't set .
I started with this method to help drain completely, flush and slow the scale build-up.
10min with 35psi and the outlet shows no water....must be pretty dry in there.
I think the volume of air circulating in the tank would be a lot less running thru the entire system.
The gizmo works well for something conjured up from found parts in my tool box.

Bob, is the gizmo connected to the Temp relief valve?
Mayco, I see it but can't visualize how it's used

I bought 2 plastic water heater plugs and some "device" water nozzle thing to fill water tank, it has a flexible end with a shut off valve.
Cheap Gift.

The See Level II upgrade is complete and works beautifully. It's the first time in two years that our tank monitors have said anything remotely useful. To do this they had to drop and then re-install the belly pan, so it was a significant amount of labor, though per YouTube videos the actual application of sensors to the tanks and re-wiring for the new panel isn't too awfully difficult.

Next we'll have them winterize, thoroughly check the battery, fix our ridiculously noisy water pump (sounds like a diesel generator). Then they'll check seals on the roof and end-caps, repairing as needed, to ensure against potential leaks. (We have Parbond and Cap'n Tolley's on hand so we can deal with anything we can reach, but we're not getting up on the roof or a high ladder.)

Oh, and we got a hot water heater rinser-outer thingie and a fresh water tank filler widget, both of which we'll use in the spring. We should also get a new nylon screw-in stopper for the hot water tank to use in the spring.

Hi, I need one of those; The left over water really stinks after sitting for several months.

Hi Bob,

$350 + shipping & insurance, assembly required. Parts extra.

Glad you got home safely. It was a fun vicarious trip for us too & meeting the vagabonds as they passed thru WNY was a nice bonus.

Hope Boo-Boo is doing better, remember.....you can't hug 'em & love 'em enough.

Bob

Thumbs up Not really for the trailer......But

.....a great deal nonetheless.

Our 8yr old Samsung went kaput...so I started researching the new 'smart' tv's.
Spent a lot of time on the interweb, decided last week to visit Best Buy to see them in person, (don't do this unless your committed, and know what you want)

Absolutely floored at the improvements since getting the Samsung.

Left with an LG OLED 65" 4K on order, delivered two days ago, my old HDMI cable was not up to delivering 4K, went back to BB to get one of those fancy 'Monster Cables". Our sales associate grabbed us, said he was just about to call and tell us to come back and pick up our "free tv", Sandy & I both thought he was joking until it appeared at the Customer Service counter.

Seems we bought the LG a week before the giveaway started, they voided our original receipt, gave a new one with yesterdays date and we left with a 49" 4k LG.

BTW.... the entire BB experience was first rate, they have improved a lot since the revamping several years ago.....are you listening JC?

So...if your in the market for one of the new OLED 4K LG's....go to BB and get another 4K for free......:ban d:
