I ordered a smart plug and power cord to replace the plastic OEM setup. Can't wait to get it on.

Those Red Rock Outdoor Gear trays remind me of the metal food trays in the enlisted mess hall on the Destroyer (DD849) I ate off of several times backing the late 60s.

Good choice. I must of pulled out at least a pound of rock hard potting compound when swapping mine out. A sharp knife and needle nose pliers did the trick. Little tricky reattaching the wires. They were short with very little free play. Results, no more warm wires or burnt contacts.

Thx, Chief. With the newer AS I'm hopeful I'll get-er-done without too many bad words.

So not really a purchase from today, but we have moved into a new house, with a nice sized RV garage for Eva We moved in on 12/18 and now a month later it feels like we are actually winning the battle of the boxes and itching for a trip out!!

Thanks! Took us 2 years to find a place in Bend with an RV garage in the right location It really is an amazing space, I will start another thread about it so I don't clog this one up... I will post some more pics too.

I love the smart plug. I do not think the newer Airstreams have all of the issues getting the old plug out like AWCHIEF describes. Ours is a 2015 and there was nothing but insulation around ours. Took be about 10 minutes for each plug.

It is an excellant product. I bought mine from Airstream at the International Rally in West Virginia this past year.

Wife found a boatload of metal surplus mess trays at a garage sale -- about 20 for $15 as I recall. Very cool -- we sorted out 4 or 5 stamped during WWII years to use. I think the rest are around, but we just moved so things are a bit disorganized right now.

You should easily be able to sell them at a rally.

A mouse pad does a great job as a vibration insulator.

I didn't get them today, but I bought both the collapsible dishpan and the collapsible drying rack from Prepworks. They fit perfectly inside (on the rim) of the sinks in my 22' Sport. Here is an image of the drying rack.

Internal pipe wrench set. Broke off white plastic drain plug for water heater when winterizing this fall. Saw these on youtube. I hope they work. Looked easy online. FYI replace plastic drain plug every couple of years.

Hey, very nice, and love the quilt.
So, I installed a SHURflo pump silencing kit, model 94-591-01, and a couple of Honeywell leak detectors.
I was going to replace my working SHURflo pump with a new one in hopes of a quieter pump, but when I got to the trailer, new pump in hand, I discovered that my dealer (Airstream Adventures NW) had, unbeknownst to me, upgraded my pump to a SHURflo Smart Sensor 4.0, model 4900-0201 when I complained under warranty about pump noise. This is a marine-quality fresh water pump. Replacing it with a SHURflow RV pump, model 4008-101, would have been a *down*grade, not an upgrade.
So I put some felt padding between a nearby pex pipe and the floor, where it was pretty obvious that pipe would probably vibrate / bang against the floor whenever the pump operates. (The same felt padding circles you can stick onto the bottom of a chair leg, but 2" in diameter.) Hopefully, next season we'll have a quieter pump experience and the leak detector will quickly tell me whether I made any mistakes.
While I was at it, I also added a leak detector under the sink in the galley. We've had a leaks there before - once when the P-trap came a bit loose, and another time when the cold water line dribbled a bit because of a loose connection.
