Yes, I winterize it and bring the batteries into my basement and hook them up to a BatteryMINDER. I am tying with the idea of doing some camping in the middle of winter, maybe at a ski resort.

Not sure how that will work as I don't even know if they have electric hookups. The 20 footer Safari SE has electric tank heaters because the tanks are too far from the furnace to divert some some of the hot air to keep things thawed out. I know I can always go dry camping, but for me the biggest advantage of having my Airstream along is that I have my own clean bathroom.

i don't think it would be easy to properly adjust the cable if it is self coiling.
Yes, the old cable was intertwined with the chain, but the new coiled one sits above the hitch.

Amazon is getting a workout this week. 2 Camco hoses today, plus Lynx tongue jack pads and chocks, and water bandits. Missus picked up a nice set of Corelle plates/bowls/mugs from the outlet store, and some padded china storage containers that fit perfectly in the upper cabinets to hold everything.

Ordered a VacuVita (vacuvita.com) through crowdfunding. It is a vacuum sealing container. I figured this would be perfect to store breads, bagels, tortillas, and pastries without taking up fridge space to prevent molding.

I just bought this 1950's desk lamp from a local antiques store! We are going to put it on the night table between our twin beds when we convert from our current queen bed. I've been admiring this lamp for a year but didn't have a place for it in my house. Now I can't wait to see it in my traveling home instead!

Very cool - be sure to send pics when the remodel is complete.

Let me know how this actually works out. It is an expensive appliance.

Couple of Cheesy intruders.

Went to close the trailer and found holes in the roof vent screen. Had a young mouse couple repel down into the trailer after chewing holes through the screen. The inventive young couple have since been evicted. Services are pending, flowers not requested!

In then video. it looks like it needs constant electric power to keep the vacuum in place while storing and it is a large box on the counter top.

Sure thing Tom.

From the other information on the site, it only takes power to create the vacuum. The container will maintain it. The main box that you can open and close will require power only to reestablish the vacuum. I figured I would have shore power, solar panels, or my Yeti 1250 to power the device.

I also liked the marinating idea.

Got myself a jack socket for my stabilizers and WD bars so they can be operated with a cordless drill.

Also, installed a quick release connector to the city water inlet, so now I just have to plug in the hose.

I will! We have some autumn trips planned first, then will start dismantling and rebuilding the bedroom. Thanks for your interest.

Blue Beacon Truck Wash-
It is a nationwide chain usually behind a truck stop such as Petro.

I am planning to hit the Blue Beacon in Jackson, MS on the way to Canopener-
I may get brave and get on the roof and clean it.

We ordered that Delonghi heater based on your recommendation...how is it working?
Based on their specs maybe our airstream is too small?
Help!
