At the Urban Air rally last weekend met up with Airstream employee Rick who was parked next to us with his AS motor home. He had lots of accessories so I picked up stainless steel covers - outlet, kitchen vent, hot water heater cover. Couldn't help myself. Actually, my wife saw them and she pushed me into it! She's getting into this! Got our 2016 FC in April. Also, ordered an Atwood stove top cover to keep the area below the burners clean.
And first Walbernize job this Saturday. Man I'm sore!

I picked up a set of 15" take-offs from member Birdog. I'm still looking for some metal valve stems that will fit in factory rims... Dunno if I can look much longer before I break down and stick these suckers on Dolly!Click image for larger version

Good luck with obtaining the new correct lock. Personally I would replace the entire lockset, as that should give you more dependability down the road, not to mention ease of installation.

Don't want to hijack the tread, but wanted to thank the responders... based on the comments, I got the Airstream lock assembly's and will head to the trailer to do the repairs.

On an on-topic note, got a carpet runner so when visitors come into the trailer, they won't track mud.

New wall clock from Target, $10, glass face, brushed aluminum body, lightweight, but not silent - it has a moderate ticking sound. Best, Joe

A gallon-plus fill-up of pink RV anti-freeze... getting cold up here in the mountains. Sad day, camping season over... until next April.

A pre-owned Winegard Trav'ler DirecTV Slimline 3 SWM dish to replace the old Winegard 18" SD dish that came on the trailer when we bought it this February. Now for the install.....

Honeywell RWD41 water alarm

A year ago our pump malfunctioned once and wouldn't shut off. Water was expelled from the water heater relief valve, and water also leaked in the area under the closet, where there are many plumbing connections. We couldn't figure out which connection was leaking. I installed this alarm to be prepared if the leak happened again.

The alarm went off the next time we used the trailer. The inlet fixture was dripping from a seam at the back of the fixture (toward the inside of the trailer). The water formed a small wet spot on the floor at the corner of the wheel well. The alarm detected the wet spot when it was only an inch or two wide.

This alarm is a new kind you may not have seen before. It comes with a type of wire that you can snake around the an area. It's a Honeywell RWD41.

The picture shows the RWD41 main unit in the lower left. A phone-type cable connects from it to where you put the water-detection cable. The detection cable is the one on the right that runs back into the darkness. It is a plastic cable with bare metal wires spiraling around it.

(You may also notice another, older water alarm in the picture. The box is at the far left, and it has a single detection unit that is mounted to the right of the pump.)

Oh yeah, I also installed a new water inlet fixture. I got another of the model Airstream uses, which is obviously not as reliable as I would like. Is there a better quality brand/model out there?

Very simple but incredibly useful - fuses and a small organizer box to keep them in. Tossed in a few wire nuts and wire terminators, just in case.

If course you know your trailer does not have leveling jacks, only stabilizers, unless you've installed after mkt ones. The drill will work great on the stabilizers, though.

Great tires. Just put a set on my tv, also. What a difference from my old woreout ones.
