Your trailer will be louder inside when talking or when it is raining. These soft surfaces work as a slight insulation barrier from the heat/cold. I had an two older trailers without the interior treatments and I felt there was quite a difference.

Our 2008 Sport has mouse fur, and a rally-buddy has a 2014 model. I didn't care for it but that's what ours had already.
They visited and remarked how they wish they had mouse fur instead of aluminum walls because of that very reason...insulation and noise.
What'd I get for the trailer today..??? Axle lift kit, aux. lpg quick connect, new tires, ...)

Just installed the Husky 82022 Super Brute Electric Jack with Remote Control - 5000 lb. Capacity, and I love it. Attwod was struggling to lift setup for WD bars. Mounted the circuit breaker on side of battery box. Nice and much quieter than Arrwood.

That is a sweet-looking jack. Can you turn the power head so a truck's tailgate will clear the jack? We like that feature of the Barker, though this jack looks better overall.

Clock
We have been looking for a wall clock for our Bambi for a couple of years now. We have looked a LOT of clocks, but they are always too big in proportion and would be "overwhelming" in most trailers, and especially in a Bambi. Yesterday we had SUCCESS!
We found a InterDesign Suction Clock. It's round, 4" wide and about 1.5" deep. It has a brushed stainless steel casing with a clear plastic "crystal"...and is water resistant.
It's battery operated...a single AAA (included). It has 5 suction cups on the back that stick to the aluminum interior walls of the Bambi like octopus suckers, even without moistening them. We have not traveled with it yet, but I'll be VERY surprised if it doesn't hold. It's easily removed to relocate if needed. (Use both hands on opposite sides...it sits away from the wall far enough to get your finger tips under the casing so that it comes off without coming into contact with the aluminum walls.) It left no marks on the aluminum. It will not stick to painted surfaces or laminates. (I tried. The packaging says it's good for glass/mirror, steel, tile and fiber glass.)
We got it at Bed Bath & Beyond for $14.99 + tax for a total of $16.20. We found it in the bathroom dept...I think it's actually intended for use in a shower or bathroom (therefore it's diminutive size). We checked online and found it on Amazon for a little less (probably the best price if you have Prime and don't pay shipping). It was $12.99 on BB&Beyond online but with $5.99 shipping (+ tax, potentially) it was more than buying it locally and paying local sales tax. We also found it priced as high as $46.
We are pretty happy with it! You know how we are all drawn to anything silver. And the price is definitely right.
Here are some pics, including the packaging:

So this is what happens when you leave two Airstreams alone in the driveway and go on a road trip.
They make a 3rd one?
This could also be the definition of insanity!

And the ticking is not too loud?
I bought one quite like it a while back... can't remember the brand. Looked perfect, was similarly waterproof... and in the middle of the night in the enclosed space of an Airstream Interstate, it seemed to echo and amplify until it sounded like Chinese water torture for the ears. Dang, I said. Back to digital, I said.

Thanks for the photos & video! Hey, those smart folks at Husky clearly designed the housing to clear a tailgate as it opens. Very nicely done! Barker can't seem to manage that, which is why we finally turned the power head.

The clock is silent.
I am watching now to see how it actually keeps time...will update later on that.

The Super Jack by H & H Engineering a division of Barker arrived today.
Also, I got an email from Airstream describing the routing of the refrigerator condensation drain and the part number for the low point drain valves.
Sent from my iPad using Airstream Forums

A couple of 20"x34" Double Border rugs from BB&B, on sale. We chose "Slate Blue / Sand," which looks great with our decor. Each rug fits perfectly between the queen bed and the outside wall in our 27FB, just right for not freezing feet when getting out of bed on a chilly fall morning.
