Thumbs up

Peter. have you ran your lights while on shore power? I purchased some lamps looking just like the one pictured off the internet. they worked fine while on coach supply. But when on shore power they overheated and emitted a blueish light. I found out later the deal is... while on shore power you converter can put out at least 13v and up. the lamps were sensitive to 12v only because they did not have a built in voltage regulator in each light bulb.

I paid 4.00 each lamp thinking i was getting a good deal to relamp my trailer.

On my new excella i will not make the same mistake again. BTW i went back to the website and relooked at what i purchased. they were classified as a reverse or backup light.

thanks for your post.

I must have lucked out with the ones I purchased. I have been using them for over 2 years without any issues, shore power or just battery power. They must have a wider voltage range than the ones you puchased.

Hi, I got some Dock Clips for my generator inlet conversion, a portable printer for use in my trailer, and a dash-cam for my tow vehicle. Feels like Christmas or something.

In theory my builder will show up today and my garage / Airstreamport will have the walls closed in. Fingers crossed.

For our trailer we got $2,000 in repairs at Jackson Center, but we're happy it wasn't $3,000

Front floor section replaced
"Mouse fur" in front cleaned of mold
Mold stain on back of linoleum bleached and cleaned
Pressure tested for leaks (a few minor ones)
Water tested for leaks (passed)
Cleaned old sealant and replaced with new, entire roof

The people at Jackson Center are very nice, worked with the technician at every major step of the work we requested. We feel we're ready to travel without fear of any more floor rot.

Hi, you can read all about it in my blog by clicking on the blog under my avatar. In short, it is my own version of a front mounted generator inlet without the use of a transfer switch.

Rich, were you able to see what they used to clean your mouse fur. I am less than totally satisfied with the Oxiclean that I used. Still dingy looking.

No I didn't and I wish I had, I may email and ask them. I spent yesterday evening using a Bissell spot cleaner machine I got at Kroger from their 'junk' pile, that cart they stick out front with close-out items. The box was all torn up and parts were hanging out. I figured for $25, what's to lose? It runs on 110 AC and not batteries, so that was a definite plus for me.

It comes with Bissell's special cleaner and their version of Oxyclean. You mix with water in the tank and then you use the wand/vacuum to spray and lift. I held the wand above the fur then sprayed an area, then with the machine off I used the brush to work it in to pre-treat. I let that sit for 5 minutes, then went back and vacuumed it up. I did that twice, then a third time for the bad areas. It took up the dirty-moldy areas around the windows and did a decent job elsewhere. Now I just have to find more of that stuff at the store. (The PO replaced all the curtains with aluminum blinds.)
