Thanks, all done. I have had it up all afternoon and the sun has moved over. It is doing a good job cutting the glare and heat.

Thumbs up

The kiddo didn't seem to understand that daddy's computer cables under the table in the power strip are not toys.

So I bought a Bluelounge CableBox & Cable Director kit.

Looks a lot neater under the table too, no unsightly wires everywhere.

Anyone looking for organization ideas, we got this from Target. The back plate sticks to any wall with command strips, and the little containers stick to the plate with magnets. This makes it easy to switch them out. And the magnetic containers are perfect for the Airstream message board (that we never have really used for anything)

2014 and 2015 improvements

There are several items here in 2015 that we decided to fix since the old parts were just worn out and foam cushions were not much better than plywood.

The plastic on my Fantastic Fan was just too brittle and was cracking to pieces. I fiberglassed it back together last year and decided to pull the trigger on a Maxx Fan. I have wanted to install one of these for some time. I plan on replacing the front fan in 2016.

On our last outing the bath fan just gave up so I ordered and installed a new Vanair fan. In 2014 I replaced the skylight with a Maxxum skylight.

The cushions on our gaucho and dinette were replaced with new fabric and foam in January 2015. In 2014 I installed two 10% solar shades behind the dinette.

Seeing the layout of the trailer in the above photos in post #2711, our twenty year younger Classic has the came cabinetry layout with different wood. Not much evolution in the design?

Near perfection for a larger Airstream. The shorter models require a compromise of dinette or comfortable seating in exchange for the benefits of less Airstream to move around. The galley, bath, and bed layout is similar in 25' and up.

I believe 1993 was the first year for the "Classic" layout but is the narrow body. Really about the only thing missing is this trailer being a wide body and ducted air.
When my wife first stepped into this trailer she fell in love with it. The floor plan really works well for us. The trailer was at a point where it was needing some TLC so the price was compensated for that. I actually enjoy doing the projects as a stress reliever when I get home from work. I budget so much each year for continual maintenance and improvements. If I ever make a trailer change it will be new enough to have ducted air.
