Bold Adventure,

My brother completed a doctoral thesis in finance recently, and he determined that the single most expensive decision that couples ever make is to have children, to the tune of nearly $250,000 apiece in the United States.

Once the actual dollar amount was determined, he set about trying to find out why they are so expensive... The answer was simple:

They're worth it!

GreggH - please give me some more details about how you made your stained glass inserts. I have been thinking about trying one for our bathroom window, but not sure I have the required skill. Is this something that requires a lot of experience?

I'm a little late to this party.

What I've bought so far for my Airstream:
1. Progressive PD4655 converter/charger
2. LED lighting for interior lights and exterior scare light.
3. Replaced the chandelier over the dinette with a dome light (kept bumping my head on the chandelier when we took the dinette down to make a super lounge)
4. 5 new Michelin tires. TireTraker TPMS
5. Simplehuman wall mount paper towel holder
6. Replaced two 120v outlets with ones that include integrated USB connections
7. Coated the bottom of the pull out bumper storage tray with a brush on pickup bedliner material.
8. Shurflo water accumulator
9. New Barker Superjack after I tried to tow my Airstream without the hitch pin in the receiver.

My wish list:
1. Replace my 2 skylights with Maxim skylights and reseal all the Fantastic Fan and plumbing vents.
2. Some sort of rear view camera system.
3. Upgrade the Sony LCD 23" TV to a larger LED TV.
4. Revamp the stereo system to something like a Jenson or Furrion wall mount entertainment system. Remove the Sony 10 disc changer.
5. 200 watt portable solar panel system.
6. I'd like to get access hatches cut into the waste and water tank covers so I can service the water drain and waste tank valves.
7. Convert to a SeeLevel tank monitor system.
8. Baraldi stove vent hood.
9. Fresh paint for the A frame and rear bumper top.
10. New vinyl flooring.
11. Jack TV antenna head on the Winegard antenna boom.
12. Replace all the bolts securing my stabilizer jacks. Some bolt heads have broken off.

Kelvin

Congratulations!

We had three in diapers, so I know the feeling! Wonderful!

Thumbs up Everything I've been working on

Thanks for the kind comments. Eventually I'll have to update my avatar to the left.

Kelvin that's a nice list, I need to borrow your format, since I'm behind in my posting as well. We've invested a lot of sweat equity and money into the Airstream lately.

What we've bought for our Airstream lately:
  1. PM4B-60 Boondocker 4-stage converter/charger

  2. AMSolar SunRunner Signature 25MPPT/6/PRO Core with 3 x 135W panels for 405Ws of solar

  3. Sawtooth 16 inch Wheels wrapped in Michelin LTX M/S2

  4. Centramatic Wheel Balancers
  5. Costco fitment Group 27 Batteries

  6. New Plank Flooring - the color is Coventry Oak

  7. Lots of LED Lighting (Still experimenting with colors)

  8. Fan-tastic UltraBreeze Vent Covers in Smoke

  9. BRANDING
  10. RV Roof Mount 360 Siphon

Planned upgrade list
  • Replace my 2 skylights with Maxim skylights
  • Omni Antenna & Directional Antenna mounted on the TV mast.
  • 600W inverter
  • New faucets, kitchen and bathroom
  • New Segment Protectors

That's all I can recall at this hour.
