I wouldn't plan on being that close to front other than taking the hitch bar on or off.

Less chance of leak, removed over foot of snow from roof. Keeps Airstream happy.

Nice idea. I'll bet it works great!

Much easier than being in the TV and can be secured if desired.

Awesome idea! I wonder if it can be offset to be more inline pointing to the front so its not so perpendicular to the frame. Maybe a swivel plate? Harbor Freight here I come. Thanks for the great idea.

I drilled two holes to line the U bolts so you could angle it in any direction that works best for you. Just consider where you're drilling the holes so you can use your locking hitch pin if desired. Mine are too close to the bolt holes I drilled so I have to use a long shank lock instead of my receiver lock.

I bought a couple of these:

thingCHARGER: The awesome new charger for your things...

They're advertising them as "RV Space-Saver gadgets: thingCHARGER"

I stripped, cleaned, weather-stripped its screen door, and added the screen door slider to keep out bugs. I also added weather stripping to one of the outer storage compartments so the draft there should be cut down. Made one accent pillow, and started the penny backsplash.

Our new mattress from Rocky Mountain came yesterday. Boy was I surprise on how it was packaged. They compressed it in a box that was about 2 feet square and 5 feet deep. It is now on the bed and has been tested by Claire. Just one more item to have installed before we begin our journey south. I have finally convinced the ford dealer to install a larger diesel tank. If all goes well we will be on the road on Wednesdy or Thursday.

That is a great lock and extremely well built. One thing I found though is to be sure to spray the lock every now and then because of the grit.

What did you get for your Trailer today?

They have made a couple of changes from the original. Latest seems to be an additional plate welded to the top. They must have uncovered a weakness of some sort. It it very robust and seems well made. Nice thick powder coating.
