I think you made the right choice. I believe that since the lead and brass methods will allow a small amount of movement of the glass panes, they would not hold up as well as the taped and soldered method.

Very beautiful improvement. Let me know when you start dong custom orders.

Lead or Brass is the traditional method that I learned. Sometimes lead is used with brass flat bars to re-enforce the frame in certain situations. I've been taught to use glazing putty mashed into the gaps to keep the glass from moving in the lead.

You did a superb job with the foil. Many times foil looks kinda thin and thick in places. Great craftsmanship. I really like the theme.

Just installed an inverter, pulled wire to the closet and installed an outlet there to power the new WINE COOLER! Yeah baby! We love our red wine, and now it'll be 64 degrees even when we're in the desert! Since it runs off the inverter, we can keep it going when we're on the road.

Also installed a Wilson cell phone signal booster, with the antenna mounted on the Winegard mast. Ran the wire down the fridge vent, had to pull the fridge to drill a hole into the wiring chase. The wire exits through the hole for the TV wiring.

Smart Hitch camera. It had a minor display issue with grid lines, but superb customer support -- new camera Fedexed within 48 hours. Display color and clarity beats the heck out of the factory installed system on wife's Honda. I see why people like this item!

How the trailer should have been built

Just bought and installed an additional towel bar and towel ring. Ah! Now we both can hang a towel somewhere other than in the shower. Sweet!

I bought a bumper hitch from Harbor Freight, 2 square top u bolts from Rural King and installed on the tongue of my trailer. Now I have a place to store my stinger when not being used. Also, it has a hitch pin hole that can accommodate a lock to keep it secure. I pasted a photo but not sure if it will show.

The 'stinger' is the component on an anti-sway which attaches to the TV (tow vehicle) in the usual way, with the standard 'pin', then is inserted INTO the receptacle on the HAHA or P3 hitch head mounted on the TT.

HAHA (Hensley Arrow)
P3 (ProPride)

Since, when attached to the TV it resembles an 'insect stinger', then name caught on.

Did you buy some shin guards to go with it?

ordered my husband a new Maxim skylight for his birthday. It will be a huge improvement over the old standard one we have in our 2009 Flying Cloud. Thanks to the installation instructions in this forum, we should be able to install it easily ourselves.
