New Corning-ware dishes ...they lay flat, resist breaking, and just look good - says DW ...

Redecorating!

I began updating some of the interior elements of my 2004 Classic that I think look outdated. First I am getting rid of as much of the shiny gold as possible. I ordered parts from Moen to replace the gold parts on the bathroom faucet. It will be all chrome when done. I also ordered parts to replace the gold bits on the towel bars. This was harder as they have been discontinued. My preference was just to replace the posts that stick out from the wall as that is the only part that is gold, and to retain the part that is screwed to the wall. On line, I finally found one matching towel bar for sale, in chrome. The seller said he had an additional pair of chrome posts in his spare parts box! He added those to my order for free! When they arrive, I will just switch out the gold parts for the chrome. Next up is replacing the cabinet pulls to get rid of the funky two tone chrome and gold look. The gold shower door is a bigger project that may have to wait.

Installed two of these in the hanging closets on each side of the bed since the puck light that came with the Airstream was installed on the base of the closet and did nothing to provide light if you actually put something in the closet.

The knife holders were made from two lager knife holders from Ikea. I wanted to use the space available in the very slim space under the microwave so I just cut them in half, drilled some more holes and screwed them in.

The lights look really cool. And I am thinking about where I could add those knife holders!

Tired of being blinded by the porch light, I installed a stainless marine air used as a shade to divert the light downward.

We pull our 1978 sovereign with a 1999 2500 Suburban. Then my wife got a motorcycle. After trying every which way to figure out how to haul the bike on the back of the Airstream, I found this 85,000 mile 1995 Silverado spec'ed out just like the Suburban. Plus an 8 foot bed. I found a used motorcycle lift on craigslist and we are good to go!

ccan't figure out how to post photos.

Running Gear!

Yippie!!!! Well didn't get them "today", but January however, I picked up my new axles and wheels from my buddy's Commercial address where they were delivered... (cheaper freight with his forklift)

So I'm in the middle of a shell off restoration, and I'm FINALLY to the point where I need to bring them to their new home!

Hope to have my floor back on, belly skins attached and lower this puppy onto some new running gear by Saturday. (fingers crossed!)

Then I get to land the shell back on!!!! HUGE milestone for me and I'm excited...

(although I just found a new 88 Excella on C-list and it looks clean... Oh man... now what am I going to get myself into!)

We just purchased 6 new Michelin's and will have them installed in the next couple of weeks! The Marathons haven't given us any grief so far but they are old.

Fixed port (street) side bow wheel brake wiring. Properly soldered, shrink wrapped, silicone tape, tie wrapped and tucked up clean.

Atwood latch pawl replacement for tomorrow.
