Received my "Home,Sweet, Home" screen door guard from Dave Winick. Birthday present for wife later this month. Don't tell her.

Been down that "road". See post 1711 ... that is just why we installed ours in the vertical orientation ...
Easy to swap horizontal for vertical should you desire.
Yes, we had to cut/grind off the screws to shorten, too.

If you stomp on the new roll each time you put it on, you will no longer have this problem it works with toilet paper, too. Great on the home front for discouraging nosy playful cats and toddlers, too.

Awaiting arrival of a custom screen guard that David made for us. it says "It's 5 O'Clock somewhere". He sent a photo and I'm impressed with his work. Looking forward to installing it.

a LOT of interior rivets, 3-way switches....let the FUN begin....

Install is a lot easier than most of the DIY tutorials make it out to be. Did mine in about 30 minutes.

Thanks- luckily there was one previously on ours- so the mounting spots are already in place. Just take off old and put on new- I watched the video yesterday- seems pretty cut and dry....

The trick is going to be drilling the mounting holes to match the existing ones. The hinge on the new covers come undrilled.

That's easy- take the old one down- line up the brackets- double check - check again and then drill.

In general, I think we're pretty open to new ideas.... I like the idea of doing this for paper towels and TP, but stomping on cats or toddlers seems to be going a bit too far...

Today I ordered a new wool Pendleton Yakima blanket for the bed in our Airstream. I've been wanting one badly for some time. Can you think of anything that goes better in an All-American Airstream than and All-American Pendleton?
