Picked up some light fixtures from a fellow '69 owner and he had an original clock laying around that was removed from his. After a careful disassembly of both the clock and the barometer, I polished the brass pieces and cleaned everything up. After nearly 25 years, the front panel in my TradeWind is finally whole again!

Good idea.
I'll bet if you travel with a yeti, it would get pretty hot in the summer without a cooler.
Happy Holidays,

RV Rearview Camera installed and operating. I hooked it into the little light over the bed complete with its own switch and LED. Establishing the IPhone connection was a bit tricky for me but there was a kid around so it was done in jig time. Jim

That is one of my bucket list items. Like the way you wired it. How is the picture quality in the tow vehicle, also is the picture reversed?

The picture quality is excellent and the iPhone screen simply replaces the normal view one would have looking into his Rearview mirror with out an Airstream blocking his view. The field of view is just awesome. It feels like 178 degrees on the horizontal plane and 110 degrees on the vertical. Feed most likely has the actual numbers. I just got off the road so now have some night vision experience which, again, mirrors a Rearview mirror. Pity the poor folks heading south on 95 and east on 26. About 50 miles of back up due to 3 crashes. Fred's service, both before and after the sale, is simply excellent. I am very happy with this purchase. Jim

Nitey-nite!
My husband is often troubled by "butt freeze" when his lower back comes into contact with the metal wall on our FC20 with a front bed. Doesn't have to be very cold outside for that inner wall to be very chilly! I solved this by making an adult-size "crib bumper". First, I cut a seven-inch-wide strip of one-inch-thick foam rubber, seven feet long. This reaches from the head-end hamper to the foot hamper. I wrapped it with a layer of quilt batt---leftover from quilting projects---then made an envelope out of a seven-foot length of a cheap fleece blanket, sewing right sides together, turning, an inserting the foam core. Buying the blanket at Walmart was cheaper than buying the yard goods, and I have something left over to cover matching pillows.
I turned the open ends inside, pinned to fit the core, then whip-stitched the entire length by hand. It didn't take very long. Voila! A nice, snuggly, warm, backrest for the bed---and no more butt freeze!

This used to be a factory option, I was told. We have had 4 small holes, evenly spaced along each side of our mid-twins in our Overlander (International trim) and wondered if they were just some mistake in drilling that the factory used anyway. But a friend with a same-year Ambassador showed us theirs and snapped to the same four holes along each side were "crib bumpers" as you describe. The snaps held them in place She said "it came that way."
For us, one of our mysteries was solved!
(By the way, I suppose we could be called "RoadBonanza!")

What's the name of the camera? Can you post a link? Thanks so much -- this is exactly what we need.

I bought a few really minor things for the inside, planning for trip last weekend: some plastic cups and straws, dish mat. Ordered a BUNCH of fabrics for the curtains for all the windows. Bought a new toilet for it, ordered a bunch of stuff from the VTS site: rotator switches, weatherstripping/adhesive, fuzzy channel seal, and more.
Mostly we have 'work days' in progress at this point: removed gaucho bed to discover front window was leaking after our first steady rainfall, removed the toilet to discover that it is broken as well, sprayed kilz down on that floor, added duct tape to the vent duct below the tub, removed all staples and old carpeting that was lining the tub and vanity. Confirmed flooring I am putting down, prepping for that.
We opened all the windows - anyone have something they recommend for cleaning the screens in place, and the window channels? Or is it remove and replace them all. Trying to avoid removing the bunk rivets if I am able.
