When does a small pile of rocks become a large pile of rocks or perhaps even a hill or mountain? This is the concern of "fuzzy logic?"
I turn 62 next month and can start drawing Social Security. My wife is already there and doing that. Might this indicate that we are "seniors?" Unless you create an arbitrary boundary, there's no way to tell when the threshold is crossed. That's good, I suppose, because classifications or categorizations of people tends to be meaningless or counterproductive or worse.
When I turned 55, my lovely Wife loved to go into a McDonald's and announce loudly that "He'll have a Senior Meal"! When she turned 55 she didn't think it was quite so funny, but I DID! Heh, heh.
That was a long time ago, but it doesn't seem like it. I'm retired now, that's an old age benefit, along with grandchildren, lunches with friends, goin fishin, messin with the computer, and, Oh Yeah, sleepin in!Specially sleepin in! No alarm clock.
The Wife still works, but she works out of our home for herself, so thats not so bad. I build things in my shop, write novels, cut firewood, and whatever else I want. Oh Yeah, lotsa honey does too. You know, honey do this, honey do that.
All in all, I have my health and a nice home and an airstream. Life is pretty darn good even if I am older than dirt.

Old is definitely a state of mind.....although just a couple of years short of SS, I manage to have lots of projects to keep me busy and with my wife's help, we still work 40+ hours a week. Guess the part that keeps us young is the 13 grandchilluns. This weekend some will be at the farm with us and at least 5 will be there under 5 years of age. If that won't keep you busy, active and mentally alert, nothing will. Everyone have a safe and happy holiday and hope you will be able to spend it with family.
Well, I am not a senior but I have been married to an old codger for 20 yrs. Of course he wasn't always this old but he has always been ornery. 'shaker

'shaker...20 years...what were you...9 when you got married???
My Airstream keeps aging like it is (and it's 3.5 years old), it'll be a senior in about another season!

You know what I hate? When I watch the news and hear them telling about some elderly woman who was attacked or involved in a wreck, AND then find out she's younger than I am. I still work, my husband still works, I mow the lawn, my husband is building us a home at the lake, and I don't feel like an old f---. I have a 78 Argosy, and I can remember what I was doing in 78. I can still remember what I was doing in 68, but I'm not drawing Social Security or on Medicare yet. 60 is not old any longer.

Amen to that!
