Weight Gain

Hah!!! I think I've finally talked my spousal unit out of looking for a newer Airstream! He has been hot to find a 1996 or newer... that wide body really appeals to him. And no wisecracks from those of you that have met me! He keeps talking about how much more space that extra six inches from a WB would mean to us.
Well, I went to the weight charts, and compared our 83 Excella to a 96 Limited, on the theory each of those models was the top of the line for that year.
I then casually mentioned the 96 weighed about two thousand pounds more than the 83! He immediately said there was no meaningful gain in total payload, meaning it would cut what we can carry now. He decided that extra six inches in width wasn't worth it!
Wow! Thse charts have saved a marriage! LOL!!

Elizabeth, very good. You have affirmed that you have greater value to him than the additional width of a newer trailer. And clever you, all you had to do was couch it in terms that he would understand... and think it was his decision.
