weather stripping problems

So I am new to this forum and trying to still figure out how to navigate it, but I am pretty sure that this question hasn't been asked. We have a 72 ambassador that we are referbishing. Yesterday I started installation of the D profile weather stripping and found that it doesn't seem to be thick enough as I can still see sunlight and a little sky between the top of the window when it is completely shut. So either my windows are warped (don't know if that is possible, it was sitting for the last 25 years and unused for the last 10) or I bought the wrong size seal. The size I bought is 5/16in wide and 1/4in thick. Is this the right size? Any help would be awesome.

This is what I have used on the windows of the last 4 trailers I owned. It is larger than the size you purchased.
