Water Tank Leak - broken part suggestions?

Somewhere between Las Cruces NM and home, we emptied a nearly full fresh water tank. Checking beneath, the water flows out of what appears to be a broken plastic connection. The metal guard beneath didn't protect it this time.

Picture is attached. It is curb side, behind the front wheel.

Manual page F-7 mentions the tank drain petcock. That must be what broke off.

Any commercial replacement or experience in what's involved to replace?

Any suggestions on a better, less breakable replacement?

Surprisingly enough, that is your fresh water drain valve. They are commonly available at RV stores, are inexpensive, and not hard to replace. There should be an access panel beneath fastened by sheet metal screws.

I replaced mine in about 30 minutes. Most RV stores have them.
I had access from underneath through a door with sheet metal screws in it, and also from above from under the false floor in the closet.
Got the new valve and a short length of connection hose to make the replacemet easier...just dive in and do it, or pay $75 an hour and let a dealer do it.
