I agree Remco. This is what happens when it becomes trendy to own a vintage Airstream. What next? Martha Stewart editions? Please no.

Maybe this "House of Dreams" MacKenzie-Childs decorated one is more your style...

MacKenzie-Childs Airstream (scroll to the bottom)

It was offered in the 1996 Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog...for a measly $195,000!

Shari,

...well, at least this one is a bit more practical... i.e. if you ran out of food, you could always eat the bathroom ceiling...

Nautical & Andirondacks get our vote!

... ....good thing we can't afford neither since we like different ones. However we both totally agree that our Titan is everyday more perfect!

By the way we brought him back home today and spent over 3 hours in small projects. It was bitter cold but we're so happy he's back!

NO designer AS beats your own AS personalized & filled with loads of love and special care!!

You'd have to settle for Nautical...'cause the Andirondack one is SOLD!

I'll tell you what...!
I agree TOTALLY with "Kimili"...
& I dream constantly of being in different places on the map...IN BEAR...no matter how elegant or how perfectly outfitted another rig (Airstream) might be... I'd RATHER BE IN BEAR! Any old time!

Yeppers,,,and THAT's the TRUTH

Shari:

Richard showed me this (or a similar one) at their facility in the Spring of 98 while I was doing some work there.

Pretty awesome interior, but not exactly my taste (or price range). The exterior was in need of some serious restoration (zoom in for a closer look).

They had financial difficulties and were bought out; you might now be able to pick it up for a "measly" $100K or so

Regards,
Jeff

Went with the one that sold

I voted for the Adirondack Caravel since it most closely matched my taste for the woodsy cabin (and my timber frame home). It sold, so someone with actual money agrees with me.

I wouldn't pay money for Utility/Surplus. Western is not as well done as Adirondack in my opinion. If I wanted Nautical I'd have to take the wheels off and drop it onto my pontoon boat. Hmm, not a bad idea...

If you actually bought one of these you would be paying mostly for the Ralph Lauren name and parking it on your massive estate probably by the pool and cabana as a topic of conversation at your next Gatsby like cocktail party. Yeah, these definitely belong in the Hamptons.
