vista views

Anyone know off the top of their head why some early 70's Tradewinds had a third what I think are called 'vista view' windows, and some don't? Is it a the difference between a Landyaucht and the International models? I have a '73 Tradewind and it doesn't have the top (third) window.

Stormy,

The vista views may have been part of the International package, of that I'm not sure, I do know in my manual they are listed as optional equipment
Given their propensity to leak as they get older...not having them may be a blessing in disquise

Stormy W. I think the Vista View windows were options. When I got my 72 trade Wind, the interior film was flaking off and the windows leaked. I broke out the inner window pane (it was a double pane window) cleaned out the film, resealed the existing window inside the frame and Parbonded the exterior window frame. It is now crystal clear and dry as a bone. I learned about doing this through other entry's on this forum. Good Luck. Tom
