Before you use thinner I would suggest trying some regular flour on a towel. It will pick up most of the black residue. Also you may find lacquer thinner leaves a cloudy look. Some recommend mineral spirits instead. Use your choice to clean up any heavy stubborn spots.
To post a picture, when you start the reply/post, go up to the tool bar and click the paper clip. A same window will open that allows you to choose up to 4 pics. Be aware there is a size limitation. I believe its 500 KB. I find that using Paint to resize the pic to that limit is easy do. Paint will also allow you to rotate, add lines, circle something, etc..
Look at the size of your original pic. i.e. 1.0MB
Open pic in Paint
Click on resize. Change 100% to what ever divides original down to 500KB i.e. 50%
Save as jpg .
Double check size of reduced pic when saved, and adjust again if needed.
When you've chosen all the pics to download, hit the download button in the small window and wait.
When its done, go back to your thread to continue.
Click the paper clip at the place you want to insert photo and choose from the list in the window.
Hope this helps.
