Born July 55 at Castle AFB, Dad was a Boomer KB-50's and KC-97's. I served USAF 76 to 81 at George AFB, F-105's and F-4's.

Back then I never went into town in uniform or wore my uniform traveling, got tired of the redicule, and complete lack of respect.

In one year my True Love retires..
Then we start the build for our Cottage Extension
Then we live in the Airstream
and travel the length and breadth to look for a another cottage or chapel with parking space for our Airstream..
then and not before then we will be in a position to extend our friendship..you are welcome to come to us ..use our cottage as yours our car as yours our food as yours and we will shower you with enough respect to make up for back then..
Do not despair take no heed sensitive and brave man..
it sometimes happens here too..just remember the grateful good and kind Americans and English far outweigh the ungrateful

Air Force

U.S. Air Force 1987-1993. Worked E-3 Sentry's (AWACS) in Oklahoma, Iceland, Saudi Arabia and Panama. I miss the old times. I enjoyed being part of something larger than myself. It's amazing to see how many brothers and sisters in arms we have. There is an instant comradery, just like seeing another Airstream rolling down the road.

My dad's aircrew

My dad (far right) and the crew of his Navy PV-1 Ventura on Tarawa in 1944. His pilot next to him, Dave Walkinshaw, received a commendation and they also received a unit citation for their action on Jan 1, 1944, and Walkinshaw later went on to found and command the Hurricane Hunter Squadron after the war. The crew fought their war supporting the Marines in the central Pacific at 200 feet altitude, and all came home alive.
