VETERANS:

I've been an AirForums member for several years and don't see a lot of posts on RV security techniques, tactics, and procedures. Not to freak-out the group, but I'd like to hear from you Vets on the idea of starting an Airstream Protection Blog.

IMHO, we are entering into uncertain times in the US - hell, the worldwide economic future is bleak at best. If (or "WHEN" - depending on your perspective) the Sh*T Hits The Fan (SHTF) and we experience graduated levels of social/economic meltdown, a fully stocked AS sitting in a WalMart parking lot would be a likely target to hit by those who haven't prepared themselves accordingly.

So, after throwing that can of worms into this thread - what do you think? I'm recommending starting a structured series of posts and discussions recommending the basics in RV/Airstream protection while on the road and in dry-dock.

I'm currently in the Middle East now through OCT12 and have been OCONUS since APR10. I miss my '77 which is locked down tight in a secure location, and I have time to contribute to this if you guys think its worthy. Being in the protection business anyway, I'm planning on going FULL-TIME AS'ing when I return next year and this topic is definitely on my radar screen.

Thanks!

Art.........THANKS so much for what YOU are doing currently.......Just for now, make it home and then figure out how to keep your head down.

On this place, in the past there have been a few threads about survival, post-shtf strategies, weapon storage in an airstream or RV, Airstream survival communities, and using the Airstream to get to a final secure location...........For me, on here, one get's poopooohed by folks who see that what the current direction that the country is going in is just fine and want more of the same. I personally do not appreciate the sarcasm and ridicule that one is subjected to by elements on this websight so refrain from these discussions.

There are better places for me to discuss what preparations are being established to keep these self-same folks out of my perimeter when they come begging for aid or to take what I have..........

Have you checked out:

SurvivalBlog.com

When you get back and begin to travel around, make sure you come by to spend some time in my mountain top preserve here in NW Georgia......YOU my friend are more than welcome........God bless.......Dennis

Thumbs up

TC,

What a GREAT offer, Thanks for remembering.
More folks on both sides of the Pond should spend more time reflecting on the past when trying to decide on where we need to go now.

Happy Birthday USMC, and God Bless all who have, and now serve in our Armed Forces.

Semper-fi

Bob

Indeed. Reading thru those citations lends a completely new meaning to the term sacrifice, doesn't it?
