Wow what a great thread

US Navy 1964-1970
Petty Officer 2nd Class
Aviation Structural Mechanic

Served one year in El Centro, California working in target operations, (an aircraft bombing range).
Served three years at Miramar Naval Air Station x-raying aircraft for internal damage. Fighters come down on the carrier deck pretty hard and they bust rivits loose at times. It was my job to x-ray the planes to look for internal damage like broken ribs.

The military was fantastic for me. I learned discipline and gained valuable confidence in myself. Also the GI bill got me through college. I am VERY proud of my country and grateful for the opportunity to serve. I also have the utmost respect for our veterans and active service people.

Scam Email

This is a scam email, I recieved the same email and forwarded it to the authorities and was advised that this was indeed a scam email that has been circulating the internet. A check of the details shows that it comes out of an area and from a known scam artist in Nigeria.
I still to this day recieve emails from his accomplices and I forward each to the authorities. My server tries to block these but as soon as one gets block it comes out of a another area and server.
I urge everyone to take care and research before you respond, many of these have viruses attached to track your internet usage and what is called keyset which means that the virus tracks your key strokes and forwards them to the originator of the virus, I have a good friend that got tied up in this and lost over 6000.00 dollars out of her accounts before she caught it. She may never get the money back because it went into the foreign country of Nigeria.

Me 98C - Electronic Warfare Signals Analyst
1990: Basic Training Ft. Jackson, SC
1990-1991: 98C Training - 344th MI BN, Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, TX
1991-1992: 104th MI BN, Ft. Carson, CO - tactical unit
1992-1994: 743rd MI BN, Menwith Hill Station, England - strategic unit

I was blessed - orders to go to Desert Storm straight from training, ground forces went in, all orders frozen, ended up in Colorado (but certainly felt left out at the time.) Next, rumors that many of us were headed to Korea from Ft. Carson, put in for change of station and spent 2 years in England (paid for it with a horrible command!)

Susan and I were stationed at Goodbuddy airplane patch when you were there at school. Chances are pretty good that Susan was yer instructor. Even better that we met at some time during yer "sentence" there. Good to see that you came thru it all in one piece.

Amongst other things, we were both in this career field with the same job as you, plus a couple more for a very long time. If you ever get back east, let's have beer and tell some lies.
