Wear your ribbons on Veterans Day

Thanks for keeping this topic alive.
And thanks to all who have served.
I have often wished we could get our Vets to start wearing their ribbons on Veterans Day. One or two or all of them as you choose.
Be you a farmer, carpenter, lawyer, teacher, etc,etc wear your ribbons to let the folks around you know that you are one of those who served.

Thank to all of our vets.

As for the ribbon suggestion, all of mine are sitting in a box somewhere. Maybe next year....

Today was the last time I have put on the uniform for the foreseeable future. I have spent the last several years either deployed, on reserve or guard status. I have many plans I want to look into, and numerous trips I wish to make.

Thanks to all I served with, those that still serve, and those not fortunate enough to make it back. Many thanks to those who supported me, the military community, and the veterans.

Steve

Don't worry, Steve. That feeling of "why do I not have to put my a$$ on the line?" every night will soon go away. It might take two or three days and after that you'll be in the tall cotton.

Thank you for your service-as one of my old pilots once told me:"You done good".

I'm glad you're back!

Larry

It was too short lived unfortunately. While at the TX Vintage Rally I was told by my unit that the stop loss was not letting me go, and I was mandated to stay in until March 2010 or until the Army ends the stop loss.

Who knows what happens from here.

Well now I did it. Back in Iraq, tour number two. Hopefully we will get to turn the lights out when we leave. No Airstream sightings though.

LTC Nerges,

Keep your head down, and your IBA near.

We home to see you in 18 months when you return.
