Currently an Army Nurse, served in Kuwait at the beginning of this war. Spent time caring for the wounded at "Wally World" (affectionate name to avoid search engines). Currently on active duty in Washington state, 3 years to retire should I choose. But here is the rub, as an Army RN, it is a privalege to care for the patients and their family who are willing to risk what they risk. God bless the Infantry and all those who have served now, before and after me .
This photo is my mother, she died at 83, the same day as Katrina. My dad served 4 years in Burma while she held down the fort, two sons have deployed to war zone. It made her supremely happy to see her "boy"make good.

PS "The Wall That Heals", the 250' replica of the VN wall will be in Swannanoa, NC, just east of Asheville, NC on Sept 5-8, 2007. If you happen to be cruisin' down I-40 it is just a short jump off to see it. I am not affiliated with it in any way other than with my comrades whose names are on it.
