upload woes

Hey y'all

I'm trying to attach an artwork file to a post and apload photo files into the gallery from my Macintosh, and have been unsuccessful, any Mac users willing to give me some pointers?

The artwork file was created in Illustrator 8 and exported as a .JPEG. I've tried reducing the image size, saving it in other formats (.GIF, .PDF) to no avail. The message reads:

You have attempted to upload an invalid type of attachment. The valid extensions for attachments are: gif jpg bmp jpeg png pdf txt zip

Now go gentle with me here, I love my Mac

but technicalities are not my forte.

make sure the extension is lableled with lower case letters (.jpg, .gif, etc.)

As far as attaching an image to a post, that should be working fine. As seen by Jody's post.

And again...I'll get this yet folks, it took three years of perserverance to convince my hubby we NEEDED an Airstream (he's hooked hard now!) I'll lick this computer thing yet.

Did someone out there mention a cactus cooler????

Make that a double cactus cooler...on the rocks.

I still can't figure out what I am doin' wrong, I decreased the file size, added the tag-line? Perhaps, both I and this computer creature need a day off. I'll try again Monday, a new week, perhaps better fortune. Send me more suggestions, I'll try 'bout anything (obviously).

Ever done much optimization for the web? If not, I can give you some pointers....
