Twister Fifties Trailer

I was watching RV Today and they showcased the Twister Fifties Trailer. It looks like a really nice unit, upgraded applicances and laid out nicely. http://www.seevirtual360.com/listing...record_id=1232

How many it and how many don't and why?

Well, I don't know how much it cost, but what I don't like about it is this. I did not see a toilet anywhere. The sink has one spigot, which can only mean one thing, COLD water only. Red and white just doesn't do it for me.

I read about the Twister two or three years ago. They were running around $15k at that time.

Well...to each their own, I guess ~ I like it!

It's not an Airstream of course, but it is pretty darn cute IMHO...& the tow vehicle to match!!! WOW!

As far as a toilet is concerned, from their website
Quote:
Restroom: All Twisters come with a portable toilet in it’s own restroom area. This is a self-contained flushing toilet. The beauty of a portable toilet is that it is more convenient and sanitary than holding tanks. Lightweight, no messy pipes or hoses.
Besides, you probably wouldn't full-time in something like this, nor do we in our GlobeTrotter...so anywhere you would tent-camp you could stay just as easily & in more comfort. I guess I'm not against "roughing it" in style!

Bottomline: I'm a camper...not an RV'er I suppose.

Mixed feelings

I have to admire the obvious quality and their committment to authenticity, but it is not something I would choose for myself.

I see it as a sort of toy to be matched up with a vintage tow vehicle for very limited "special events" use such as vintage car meets and the like.

I love to fly a Piper Cub, a Stinson, or an "Airknocker", but they have just about no practical use in today's world. This trailer seems to me to fall in the same category, fun as a diversion but of little everyday use.
