The repeater install could not be simpler. I put it in my battery box using double sided tape. Two wires, one to ground and one to positive terminal. I used a marine two terminal quick disconnect plug that I already had installed for accessory hookups. ie: 12 volt plug, meter, air compressor, etc.

Sure would like to see photos of your 12v connection.

Just checked into the forum to find your post. Spent the evening at Fort Knox Kentucky celebrating 4th of July with some of the Soldiers and civilians that used to work for me prior to my retirement from civil service. Any possibility to extend the offer? Thanks

Crappy picture but best I can do. It is very tight space. Plug is in center of photo. Repeater is the orang dot. It is mounted to the inside of front wall of box using double sided tape. Negative goes to common ground and positive to positive terminal of battery. Water on battery is rain.

OK, when all else fails we will go to the picture attachments. I wish I knew what went wrong with the video.

Looks like a significant number of the installs require the repeater. If you were buying the system should you go ahead and buy it with the repeater included in the package?

I would wait and see if it is necessary.

I thought I was going to need it after I installed my Voyager camera. Some weird interference. But moving the TST to the driver's window resolved that problem. Mine is a 27' with extended cab truck (50' total length).

I would agree with AWCHIEF - don't buy it unless you need it.

Michael has a 23' trailer and he needed it plus others have posted how they mounted it. So looks like a strong chance that it will be necessary.

Running down 2 lane highways... I get good signal on all 3 axles... on Interstate or other times where cars are on the side of me for a long time, I tend to lose signal.

Geez.. it's only a 34'!!!

Ok, so, I get a 'repeater'... I mounted it near my rear bumper of the TV.. tied it into the 'running lights' of the TV.. So, all I do is turn on the headlights when towing (something I always tended to do anyway)... and the 'repeater' only runs some times..

Workie fine...

If I may, I would like to also compliment Mike on their wonderful customer service and product.... Stellar !

For those wondering about the repeaters. I purchased one with the system and installed it in my battery box. I also put a simple inline switch to allow be to turn it off and on when I wanted..... (IE-storage)

In the end I don't use mine as my signal is strong enough without it. (28' and an F150)

That said, I'm still glad I got it as my reception might change down the road and if it does all I need to do is turn it on.

Thanks again Mike

Cheers
Doug
