Be thankful you have a good dealer in your area....NYS still without any.

Glad the experience was a positive one.

I am very happy with the good folks at Traveland. Their service department is outstanding!
Traveland RV Supercenter

I doubt if I would have purchased an Airstream w/o a local dealership.
They do not sell a lot of Airstreams - is probably not very cost-effective for them. I am appreciative of this.

However, since they are the only AS dealer in the province, that is a good draw. If I did not purchase an AS, I would have bought something else from them because of their vast selection and large service department.

Thumbs up Wow!!

FAN,

Well if you can judge a dealer by their website that one is pretty impressive.
That 360 degree pan on the interior of the Airstream was very kewl.

Looks like you found a great dealership, is that where you purchased?

Bob

Robert, yes. That is where the FAN came from. I love visiting their website too. It's fun to check out other RVs - especially those half-million-dollar jobs. I don't want one, but still like to look.

They are definitely not a hay-seed operation. Have been in business for years and have received many awards for outstanding sales and customer service from various RV manufacturers. They are big on the Jayco brand. I wish they carried Arctic Fox. If I hadn't purchased an AS, I probably would have gone with a Fox or Jayco trailer.

We walked through a couple of the half million dollar ones at the RV show and all I can say is wow. They are almost big enough to require a crew. I guess if you had the money for one you could crew it as well.

Dan, my friend used to drive a Greyhound bus part-time before getting on with the airlines. Those expensive Class As usually require a driver with air-brakes on their licence. I told him, "You quit flying, I'll buy one of those rigs, and you can be my crew! You drive for food." He wasn't very enthused about that. I wonder why?

Well, it's bench time again. The FaN is at the dealership for a week. Nothing major: winterization, preventative maintenance, and a few minor warranty issues.

Thanks to you guys, I'm not such a nincompoop. I now know about some specific preventative maintenance, i.e. the servicing of the battery, axels, and bearings. I also asked them to check all seals and repair if necessary. (I don't have a leak but you know how these can spring up overnight, especially in winter.)

Did the lookey-loo thing with their new Airstreams. Saw a 2013 International with the ivory and black interior. Nice!

It's going to be a long week though, *sigh*

My Interstate is coming up on a year old, and is due for some dealership time, too, mostly routine and preventive. Plus installing some Fiamma LED lights on my Fiamma awning; they're permanent-mount and need to be wired into the house system. Installing them requires partial disassembly of the awning.

I took a lesson from you. To avoid long delays, last month I made an appointment for one day next month. There's nothing like planning ahead…
