travel trailer security

Hello, I am new to this community. I just purchased a 2005 25' Safari. I keep it parked on my side front yard but since having a car stolen from my driveway, I am a bit concerned about my Airstream. Any suggestions for anti-theft devices, other than basic hitch lock which I have? I've checked online but since I am a newbie, I'd like the opinions of the seasoned Airstreamers. Thanks in advance. Joe

Sig Pro 2340 Blue Line, with interchangeable barrels...sounds like where you live the .357 would be a good choice. I have the 40 cal version myself.

Thanks for the interesting weapons of mass destruction replies. Own a 18 1/2" Mossberg Mariner for anything like that. I usually don't carry it while I am at work, hence the post for hitch security when I am not at home. The former post had sufficient information. Thank you. Joe

Joe,

I know of a way to rig that Mossberg, so that it'll swisscheese anyone's head who messes with your Airstream, while you're at work...two years in Special Forces helps with fun projects like that.....

Trailer Security

Besides locking a modified hitch ball in the A-frame hitch assembly, I'd consider buying a length of heavy duty log or tow chain running it through and around the rim and locking it on the back side. It would be very difficult trying to use a bolt cutter from under the trailer. Another idea is to chain or use a motorcycle cable to connect both tamdem rims together. Good luck. Jim
