Trailer Travel, a visual history of mobile America

From Vintage Vacations,

Hey all you So. Cal trailerites (and everyone else)
TRAILER TRAVEL, A visual history of mobile America. The book
that everyone has been waiting for has just been released. The
book is the creation of fellow trailerites Phil Noyes, Brian
Burkhart and Allison Arieff and is the very best book that you
have ever seen that deals with vintage travel trailers.

If you live in the So Cal area and would like to receive a copy of
the book as well as meet the guys (and Gal) who made the
book possible and have your copy signed in person, Come on
down to the book release party that is being held this Saturday
night August 10th, 7pm - 10pm
in Hollywood at the Soap Plantation / Wacko!
4633 Hollywood Blvd
(in Los Feliz between Vermont and Hillcrest)
Los Angeles Ca, 90027
323-663-0122
There will be a Bar-B-Que and more, several trailers will be on
display and lot of fellow trailerites as well. For more info, Go to
the Vintage Vacations home page.
Hope to see you there.

Trailer book

I would think Barnes & Noble or Waldens books would carry it, both are online & you can order online.

I ordered mine from Amazon a few days ago. But I'll try to make it over to the signing if I can. Looks to be a fun book!

From the VAC website (www.airstream.net)...

"Travel Trailer: A Visual History of Mobile America" (2002) By Bryan Burkhart, Phil Noyes & Allison Arieff

The newest book by the team of Bryan Burkhart (Editor of the VAC's Vintage Advantage magazine) and Phil Noyes and Allison Arieff is a beautiful pictorial book with the imagery and feel of early travel book, with period color and black-and-white images culled from public archives and the private collections of passionate trailerites that documents the evolution of the travel trailer. This unique book offers a look at motor-camping trips in the early 1900s, the unparalleled innovations in trailer design during the thirties, rare and unique trailer models and interiors, and an extensive array of bold and graphic promotional material, literature, and postcards that illustrate the travel trailer. Trailer Travel is the perfect book for the fan of the open road and vintage trailers. I have seen the advance copies, and this book is a must have for all enthusiastic Vintage Airstreamers!

Order direct from Amazon for a special price of $17.47 by clicking on the title or image links above.
