Finally Named Them
When we got our second trailer last year we had a hard time distinguishing between the two in conversation. This arose from the fact that our "new" trailer is the older of the two. I was always saying "the new trailer" and my wife would think I was talking about the '06. Then I started calling them the '06 and the '87 and that was just to plain and impersonal. So we finally put a moniker on both of them.
For the '87 I picked Savannah and I let the wife pick Katarina for the '06. Now there won't be anymore confusion .
I just liked Savannah and I am a HUGE Jimmey Buffett fan and his daughter's name is Savannah Jane. Plus my wife and I love to visit Savannah, Georgia. Katarina is from the Goldie Hawn / Kurt Russell movie Overboard.

LOL!!!
I had planned to name the future Airstream "Serenity", after the very excellent sci-fi series "Firefly". DBF liked that, but after yet another happy discussion about hitting the road and carving our own path, yadda yadda, he came up with the perfect name for the geeks that we are.
Our Airstream will be the " Aluminum Falcon".

Thanks to Overlander63 I dubbed mine "The Travelastar Galactica" seems to fit very well. And allows me to expand my nerdiness.

Ours is Hi Ho, not very, very, but holds some good memories.
A gal at work today called her a "toaster." Of course, I loved the BSG reference.

Great to see the reference to the TV series "Firefly." The characters in this enjoyable future-western had a unique dialect, and their expression for something really great, in the same way we'd say "cool" or "awesome" was "Shiny."
So, that trailer name stuck for a couple of reasons. Guess if we ever do the full buff & polish, she'll need an augmented nickname.

I remember that movie like it was, uh, well 54 years old.
Of course, in those days, you could be in the trailer while it was underway, and maybe bake a cake...

I looked through this thread, and while finding a zillion great names, one I expected didn't show up:
The "Silver Submarine". Not a Yellow Submarine, as in "We all live in a" but a silver one, like it kinda resembles. If you take your glasses off. And squint.
Also thought of Silver Surfer but that already has a comic book and all...

Our new Airstream finally has her name: Lola... as in: "whatever Lola wants, Lola gets!"
Our old 1972 12' Scotsman was named Lucy.
