We added a new to us 54 Flying Cloud to our place, and many times a name just comes to you and is so fitting you keep it. While taking the interior out for a complete redo, behind the sink counter, the wife found an old sterling silver spoon. So she comes by her name honestly and has been dubbed as such. The Silver Spoon, or spoon for short. The beautiful old spoon has been tucked away until such time that we can use her somewhere in the trailer. As of now I believe it will become the inner handle for the screen door..., but who knows... we'll see.

I'm favoring Bossy. She's a big cow. I should add I'm very fond of big old mother cows.

Before I bought my AS I drove an 86 VW Vanagon that was silver. I called it the silver bullet my wife called it the toaster among other things. I loved the bus, she hated it. Our 90 Excella is now the Silver Bullet and we both love her. The transition from bus camping to camping in the Bullet was fast, easy and definitely more comfortable. We could never go back.

we still haven't figured out a name but one we've been trying on is

Bela Argosy / Bela R Gosy

playing off the actor Bela Lugosi but I wonder if I'll always have to explain it which for me will defeat the cuteness of the pun.

much like my forum name 247stream which came about because 247 are the numbers spelling out 'Air' (husbands idea) but my thought was that he meant it as 24 hours 7 days a week I was thinking about an airstream. see...ya gotta work to0 hard for it :P

If you make it Bella L'Argosy it sounds more like the actor's name, while preserving the pun. And by adding the extra "L" in Bella, you add a whole new layer of meaning, "Beautiful Argosy."

I have had A.S. since 1962 always referred to as trash cans or milk cans some do not like these names but I am thick skinned and will have A.S. until no longer here. Bill

protag...it took a moment to 'hear' how your version sounded more like the actor's name and I love the extra pun in there for beautiful, you're very clever, thank you!

uh, pushing 50 here too which is how/why I thought of the actor but my hubby is from the (7 year) younger generation and was clueless (haha) though he does like it and thinks it's clever.

Ours is Tater. A friend said Tater 1 looked like a baked potato. Our current A/S is Tater 3. Baked potato is far too sophisticated for a couple of Hillbillies so we simply call it Tater.

I'm Eirestream, Eire Is Gaelic for Ireland and is pronounced "air". Just spent my first weeklong heat wave camping and working. Thank goodness I was able to plug in and I had a huge beautiful shade tree, all in all it was ok, I was surprised it was able to keep cool.
