Great looking trailer
Is that the trailer that you bought in Albuquerque?

WOW!! That's gorgeous. Sure doesn't look much like the trailer from Albuquerque. Quite a transformation. You're the Polishing King.

My husband and I are trying to think of a nickname as well. It is tougher than you'd think-- especially when trying to be unique! Some of the names here are giving me ideas... Ours is an Argosy, so none of the "silver" name options will work for us!

Bookstax - one idea - an Argosy is considered a ship or boat. That might add to the possibilities. Sometimes, like for us, an idea comes but doesn't stick. Moonunit (our 2nd lightbulb) is, for us, the perfect name all the way around, but it came with time. I had a red van at one time and my husband (and sometimes myself) wanted to put on plates that said CNRED. For me it was because the WHOLE van -inside and out - was red (yahhh!). He had other reasons..... ;}

ayyy you got the Aluminum Falcon! what a great name...!
the night i bid on ebay for my 310 moho "R2-D2" was my instant thought,I wanted to blue stripe it out with a bleepy horn...all dorky like
but after owning it for about 2 months, i've cutely named it "Dapples the Silver Stallion" after the Cat Power/Highwaymen song "Silver Stallion"
..love that song
meybe I'll put an ironic vinyl unicorn on the back
i always wanted a pony, now i got a few under the hood
my 82' limited trailer is the "Cupcake Palace"..... very appropriate
i fell in love with airstream 'cause of accidently aquireing the Cupcake Palace

We are new to the Airstream Forums , have been doing a lot of reading and virtually no postings, but we have been really learning a lot about AS trailers since we found this site after purchasing ours the end of April. Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to post all of the estremely valuable information on all of the various threads. It really helps newbies like us.
My wife and I have named our new to us 2007 20' Safari SE "The Pony Keg" and it is being pulled by our old beat up, peeling paint 1996 Dodge PU "Clyde(sdale)"

Hi,
Although probably not too original, we name ours "Cloud Nine". The 2009 20' Flying Cloud is our first Airstream purchased in May. My father had three Airstreams in his later years WBCCI #7750.

An update...
I had completely forgotten about this thread...
So many years ago I posted that we had named our trailer "Moby", because when we brought him home and tried to park him in the yard, it was like moving a whale. Now.....
In addition to Moby, we have his little sister "Guppy". She's a 19ft B Van and is so much easier to move around and is "self propelled".
Weird how names come about, huh?

We unofficially called our 07 23' Safari the old standby name of 'Silver Bullet', and after reading this fun thread, have officially named our 09 25' FC the "Petit Palais" considering that most of our travel accomodations in France and the US has been our 2-man tent, especially after spending 4 months in both the tent and the "Silver Bullet".

it started with my little brown boler i had it parked near the front of a massive 5th wheel and someone said it looked like the big trailer had a little accident and from then on the boler was called the TURD. just a few months ago we upgraded to a 73 29foot land yaught and to keep up with the name ive decided to call it the DUKE after the silver bullet shaped laxitive dukalax

Been considering the following possible names:
1. Open Road
2. Are we done yet?
3. Travelog / Travel Log
4. Travelodge
5. Motel California
6. Silver EOC
Can't decide which one fits best yet.
Mary
p.s. I noticed while browsing through this thread from beginning to end that there are a lot of members who posted in 2002, 2003,etc that don't even seem to be around in the neighborhood anymore. I wonder if they still have AS's, and why they don't post. It can't be that they were all banned . We'll probably never know where they went. Maybe the aliens took them

Hello, my first post. Hope I am doing it right. Our 1980 Caravelle is named Dinah because she has an awesome kitchen and we have been known to feed 15-16 people dinner out of her at one time. Our 2005 Safari is named Olive, her upholstery looks like the attack of the killer Olives.

Our '71 Sovereign is "Oscar." That name just seemed to fit, even before we got him home (is it weird we decided he "looks like an Oscar" for no apparent reason?).
The '67 Safari is "Vivian." She was going to be Gladys, but Jay had an uncle and aunt named Oscar and Gladys, so he thought it would be weird. We wanted an old-type name with some character, Jay said he wouldn't be able to remember "Melva," so "Vivian" was born.

We (I) call our 1986 Excella 500 "VooDoo Doll". Every time something happens or breaks, I swear that the woman we bought her from was sticking pins in a voodoo doll and causing the problems.
I still love our AS and I don't call her by that name in case she hears.
