The Toaster
We've never named our AS trailers or our Argosy MH. But our neigbors in WI named our second trailer; they called it "The Toaster."
They always asked, "So, are you going away in the toaster this weekend?"
Oh yeah, he was our pastor, too. Maybe he just wanted to know if I'd be in the choir loft on Sunday.

Edie,
I willing to bet a hose reel that Fred would come up with a name for your Argosy in a Mystic second.

I think Fred already named the Argosy. I think he's dubbed it "The Barrel Basher".

Trailer name
We named our 1998 30 ft. Excella "The Mary Rose" in honor of my wife Suzanne's late mother. As a single mom before it was so commonplace, Mary, Suzanne and her brother would travel and sleep in a station wagon from Texas to Route 66 and on to the San Francisco Bay area to visit her folks over the years. Mary always wanted an RV, but never was able to fulfil her dream. "The Mary Rose" sports a metal Route 66 road sign replica on the back.

Being a flight attendant, and now an Airstream owner, I spend most of my life in a silver bullet of some sort. My friend ask me what was up with that?..You work in one and now you want to drag one around ? Thus the name of my Airstream "The Drag&Fly.
Guess what her symbol is?

Sabre-D
The trailer is "Sabre-D" in honor of the F-86D Sabre that I flew many years ago. The name is lettered in red by the door. My CB handle is "Sabre-Dog".

I have a friend we travel with, and we have an obsession when we travel. My Airstream license plate is SCRABLR... His SOB trailer license plate is 7LTRWRD!
PS: He wins 3 out of 4 games...

Originally
When I bought my 84 Sovereign from it's PO, he had mention that he & his late wife had named it, "Silver Turtle". SO I agreed after my first climb over the Mtn that, It indeed was the right name for a slow Silver Turtle...lol
ciao
It has always traveled BEST at 55mph...or slower..

Silver Turtle
I like the "Silver Turtle". When we were still in WI, we regularlly visited my cousin on her farm with our trailer. She called us the Turtle People, because we carried our home with us.

Why didn't I think of this before
I Walbernized my A/S today for the first time and found dozens of flecks of sealer on the finish. That started me thinking of a good Teutonic name for an A/S.
How about "The Vulkem Vagon"?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll check into it. It just hadn't crossed my mind not to use the Walbernize on the stone guard.

My wife, in her Spanish class, had to do a board of things in her life. One of the things was the Airstream. The caption was "Casa Rodante". I have a license plate frame for the trailer that says "Nuestra Casa Rodante", our house on wheels. So I guess Casa Rodante is our name for the A/S. Love to rrrrroll that 'R'.

Gotcha
John,
The stuff I use on the S/S stoneguard is a petrolum base product and, it's in a spray can..I had to watch it very close, when spraying. If it was 'windy', not to get any on the alum finis..
I used the "blue cloth" that you can buy in a roll from Wally's. That way, when I got finis there, I'd use what was still on the rag on my S/S wheel covers on Burb..But, not on aluminum.~
Good luck~!
ciao

Our '67 Caravelle was named the Spud for obvious reasons. We now own a '78 Tradewind that we call The Spud II even though it really doesn't have that "baked potato look".

One of my co-workers named mine "slimer" when I bought it. Mainly because of the unique green slime that was on it after sitting for 10 years. Slimer has been its unofficial name since.
I do call it other things though, depends what part of it I am working on it at the time. I do plan on changing the name of it to the name of the B17 my great uncle flew over Europe when I get the research done. Assuming his aircraft had nose art on it I will put it on similar to sabre-d's.
