After having my current Airstream for 2 years and the previous one for 7, I decided to name her Annie. Annie is in honor of my mother who always wanted an Airstream, but couldn't afford it. When she passed away 9 years ago, she left me enough money to get my very own. She would be proud!

We named ours "Albert" seeing how he had the blues when we found him after the late great blues guitarist Albert Collins. As you can see in this thread
http://www.airforums.com/forums/189864-post139.html
We just picked him up this past weekend. "He's a work in progress"....I can't wait till he's rock'in again

"name That Airstream"!
Sounds like a great name for a TV gameshow doesn't it? I had two names in mind for our trailer. The first one was "AirCarGo" as our last name is CARver and the AIRstream will put us on the GO when finished. The wife however wasn't too proud of that one so........ for the Landyacht that it is, and the fact that it will keep moving once it's ready to roll, I gave it a Late 60's Early 70's...ish name "Landshark" from Saturday Night Live's heyday! A little vinyl nose art and an aluminum dorsal fin might now be in order. LoL Ed

Great name, tried to give you karma but I spent it already!!
Voice: [pause] Candygram.
Woman: Candygram, my foot. Get out of here before I call the proper authorities. You're the shark, and you know it.
Voice: I'm only a harmless dolphin...
Woman: A dolphin? Well...okay. [opens door]

The weather affected and named my trailer. Rainy, cloudy, and cold, but still a happy day when I brought the Airstream Ambassador 29 home. "Misty" is the name I chose.

We refer to ours as The Aluminum Mine, during its interior makeover and since I’m designed challenged it can be an Aluminum Pit, but however; it’s worth the effort!

Our first AS, a 1976 25' Caravanner, was aptly named "Twinkie". When we sold it, the new owners had another name picked out for it, but as we corresponded with them and when we did the "show and tell" we called it "Twinkie" so much that when we left they were calling it "Twinkie". So it may still have the same name. Of course our new one begged to be called "Twinkie II"!

We are starting a community of Airstreams in Southern Oregon and they seem to be attracting women's names. I bought my '78 29' Ambassador with money from my mother's estate (may she rest in peace) and named the Airstream "Sally" in honor of her. My friend who is adding his '69 28' Overlander to the community named it "Violet" for his grandmother. And my stepson who lives in North Dakota picked up a '53 21' Flying Cloud and named it "Dakota."

I'm a lurker here....but I love this forum...almost as much as I love our Airstream. I had to share her name with you guys...LucyBelle...I tell my family and friends that she speaks to me (they kinda look at me funny) and she told me her name. But one of my favorite movies is The Long, Long Trailer (with Lucille Ball) so you kind of get the Lucy part...and then, we are from the South so she has to be a Southern Belle....
love like that...

Trailer names
Hi All,
We named our '66 Overlander Sylvia or Silver for short. Sylvia is a character in my favorite movie who was a great friend and that's how I see my trailer, as a great friend. I can't imagine her as a guy, but I'm sure there are some trailers out there that just demand a macho name .

Our 79 MH is definately female. Have name most velicles over the years, some seem to be male like the 46 Ford pu (Albert or Bert). We kicked around several names until Jen came up with Wanda as short for wandalust. So Wanda she is. joe
