more names
After reading the Forum for a long time, when we finally got our 66 Trade Wind I started referring to it as "Twinkie."
For the license plate, I voted for "BauxBox."
But my husband doesn't think that is such a great name, so our license plate is
"TinGypsy."

Just for me, but I think one of you people with a Bambi ought to name it John! Why you gently ask? Because it's such a 'Deere'!!!
Ooooh! I crack me up!

Compared to the Safari, the Bambi is "Dinky".

My husband and son named our airstream Peppy because our truck's name is little peppy. They got it from a line in Romancing the Stone. I have not watched the movie I just went along with the name. As much problems as I have had with him in the last few weeks I can think of another great name and it rhymes with witch. Just kidding i'm sure in the long run it's going to be all worth it.

My Bambi is named "Sparky" because he is so sparkly and shiny and always wants to get going.

I can not imagine how I ever missed this topic. I did search the thread and found that I was mentioned twice but I had not posted yet! Best that it happened 6this way for now the thread is resureccted and with all the new members we have been getting I hope it will be filled up with many new names.
Our motor home is of the male gender and has been named Chummy by our grandson. We do not know what the word means but when he would get wound up and very excited he would run in circles and yell out "chummy."
Upon purchasing the motor home I was so excited Sammy, my grandson said it was a chummy and the name stuck.
Let's keep this thread going.

Well I named our trailer, and it probably shows my age, and it hasn't shown up yet in the posts, but it was named after a certain adult star film star from the 80's.
I love the idea of painting the name on the side and a new exterior job and pinstripping is on our "dreaming to do " list but I don't know what Steve will say about it....

My Argosy has a big brown stripe around the middle and looks like a reverse "Twinkie", being cream colored. So of course being of the male gender, his name is "The Twink".

SilverTinker
We have named our recently ordered Bambi "SilverTinker", after TinkerBell in Peter Pan. Tink' s a fast-moving flash of light who represents adventure and keeps us young, just like our Airstream.

Airstream 1 has landed!
Yes we've posted this before but wanted to let you all see a completed weekend project.
Due to the paint job and nose art on the bus we are constantly asked if "The President" is on board.
As in "The American President" .. the movie..I often reply.... "I am the President!"
So now it's on for everyone to see. BTW this is the only reference to Airstream on the coach. Seems it had the funeral home identification on it rather than AS prior to going into private service.

Lucille and Flo
My wife and I had a naming contest on the way home from picking up our Caravel. We started off with Lulu but moved on to Lucille. I have always named my trucks and cars since I was a kid and my F250 is called Flo.

Found this two year plus old post and was just wondering if it ever became true. Stormy Weather if you are out there I would love to see the picture of the Bambi and here the story when you purchased it.

iTunes named our AS
When we assembled photos of our first trip in our AS 25FB into a slideshow, iPhoto chose a jazz rendition of "Who Knows Where or When" from iTunes to accompany it. These computers are smart. So, we named ours "Where or When" which is also abbreviated "WOW."

Photo posting figured out!!
Wow, I finally figured out how to do the easy stuff. All you have to do is search the old posts and it all comes clear. Just attach it as a file.... who'd a thought of that?

Number three
My trailer is "Sabre-Dog III" in honor of the F-86D Sabres that I flew back in the 1950s. The aluminum and rivets remind me of the airplane.
The decal above the name is my membership decal for the F-86 Sabre Pilots Organization. Our organization is slowly diminishing, like WBCCI, as members die off (I flew my last F-86 50 years ago this year). The feeling is that the F-86 was unique and we will let the organization die with us rather than open it up to later aircraft types.
