I'm into it. I do have a crazy schedule, though. Will have to plan it a bit in advance.
Schlep is actually spelled schlepp.
I think Mel Brooks used the word in one of his immensly funny movies. Or was it Woody Allen?

Me too.
thurs through Sunday sounds good, but they are booked for Sat and Sundays for quite w hile,if I understand Brian's post.
I checked Lake Isabella today, the Lake Isabella RV resort looks promising at $ 24.00 a night for full hookups. Might be a good alternative.

Do you have room for one more on the beach? I could make a trip after 8/28/02. Work calls till then. Has anyone checked out McGrath State park, it 's down by Simi Valley ? - Ray

california camping
My husband and I just bought a 31' 1977 excella trailer and thought we wouldn't be able to use it this summer as all our camping reservations were for tents. We lucked out because New Brighton State Beach near Capitola (just north of Monterey) allows trailers up to 35' I think for all their sites. There is another state campground just south of New Brighton with sites for RVs and Trailers only right along the beach. Sea Cliff? Sea Crest? Something like that. Good luck!

Let's go CAMPING!
I will call Jalama and see what the place looks like for the first wekend in October if we arrive on Thursday. I will also see if I or someone else could pay and secure a site for those that are coming later. I would like to have water at least. My batteries last forever. I can dump the holding tanks with the portable tank.
"Ms. Rivets" (the TT) wants to go somewhere soon.
Ciao, Brian
