Totally Original!

I went to look at an A/S I saw advertised in the paper offered for sale as a totally original and clean Airstream in near mint condition.
when I called I was told by the lady on the phone to come look as it was really nice , and it was in great shape. her husband wasnt home but would be there soon.

It was original alright, the interior had been painted (and I mean Everything was painted!) with a roller and house paint with a latex gloss paint that had runs everywhere, and it was dark brown! the carpet was a very nice green/brown shag, The interior had been replaced with plywood, and foam wrapped in sheets, The exterior had so many dings and dents I dont think there was a spot that wasent dented, and the door was painted to look like an American flag. also to top it off an 8" square hole had been cut in the rear corner skin to fix a plumbing problem.

It was so bad I didnt even get upset and just said wow, that is a nice one, I am sure it will sell fast! but I have one more to look at.

I only wish I had had my camera.

If I am ever by that trailer again I will take some pictures, as I am sure it will be for sale for a while.

Anyone have any good ones to share about campers that werent exactly as described?

This story is a candidate for the "Why Why Why" thread we posted a while back. Classic tale ...

Why, why, why
