I know I have become horribly lazy....
I rarely if ever spell check or grammar check. My devices do it, predict my intent, and change things. Each device is different and each has its own special way of undoing what I really do know!
I think we are all aware of autocorrect and its ability to goof us up!

People who think they "know it all" are a real irritation to those of us who do!

Once I got those items all sorted out I stopped reading those threads. Too much weight gain from the beer and popcorn......

Most of the ummm. . . "disagreement" comes from opinions, to which everyone is entitled. Doesn't mean you're right, or that everyone else is wrong. Yet sometimes, you wouldn't know it.

I love the forum!
I know more now then I did six months ago, thanks to forum posts. I post a question, review the suggestions do some research and decide on a path. I have an AS with a slide, never knew I needed to keep stabilizer deployed until the slide was in until some one responding to a post of mine said remember that is needed. Learned how to change gaskets on windows, where to get supplies and what tools might work. I am indebted to all the members who have taken the time to direct a newbie down the right path. Recently got my fantastic fan sensing rain agin using an eraser. Thanks for sharing. I appreciate it.

In lieu of accessibility to real experts, I'll happily take the opinion of a pseudo expert! And just because something is published on the interwebs by a so called expert, doesn't necessarily mean it should be taken as truth or with more weight.
So what we have is a great dialogue and discussion, which may be worth more than the facts themselves. As then it allows each individual to assess and make up their mind as to what they want to take away from it.
Not much different then how real experts do it in professional disciplines. There's always more than one way to skin a cat. This I am sure of as I'm an expert on this matter.

Something to ponder.... PJohnson by posting they are an expert due to their (admirable aspiration I must say....but my mother isn't cured yet so they ain't quite there yet...but that is getting snarky and we don't want to do that in this thread). Is self becoming a psuedo expert on who is an expert!!!!

Hold on a second! Did not think I would find anything useful in this thread, but what's up with that? Where do I learn more? I have one FF that does not seem to close when it rains. I didn't give it much of a chance, but when the other FF opened and closed several times during a light rain and that one did nothing I thought something might be askew.

What I like is the links people post to sites where good information can be found.

Please keep in mind that Airstream trailers are designed and built by experts and professionals.
Pseudo experts then replace the tires and wheels with larger ones, redesign window and door supports and mechanisms, sand down rough edges and burrs, replace crappy components and furnishings. All against what the experts and professionals intended.

Pseudo experts

The problem with this is that the bad advice could put someone’s life at risk if, for example, that advice is about hitches or tow vehicles. Or, it may cause irreversible damage to the coach if, for example, someone recommends the wrong caulk or sealant.
My question is this, how do we filter the experts from the pseudo experts?
Another pet peeve is trolls, but that is for another thread at another time.

I believe we are on this site for information. I like to hear an opinion from everyone. Don't forget that you can learn something from anyone on any day. People are graciously explaining their experiences. So please take their advise with respect, and move on if it doesn't suite your needs. Don't forget the definition of an expert. look it up on Dr google if that is your preference. A condescending attitude won't help this forum.

From the roof: with the lid open and the fan speed set to "0", rub the rain sensor's surface with a pencil eraser or clean it with a damp cloth.

Here’s where I read the information. I think I put fantastic fan rain sensor not working into search bar. Worked for me hope it works for you!

Those same experts and professionals drilled a hole thru the black vent to rivet the med cab in place and failed to use any sealant on the hood duct outlet allowing water to enter cabin for years untill pseudo expert me discovered and repaired.

Just because a person does a certain job as a profession or a paycheck doesn't mean that they are an expert or a professional.

There should be a way to vote individual posts. "5 rivets- very helpful", down to "0 rivets- total hooey". Maybe a "BS" meter to average the results right there next to the post, under the posters avatar.
Even the simple "up" and "down" votes YouTube uses can be helpful.
