I could never remember, so I counted this year. All other years will be similar. This is our 4th year of camping in a trailer. I had been tent camping since about 1978.

If this counts time working on changes and additions, etc., I am in it every day doing things now with lighting changes, sound system, etc. LOL

We also spend time in Lucy every day when we are at home. We are always doing something in her to get her her outfitted or ready for travel. As Lucy is parked and plugged-in in the alley behind our house, we are in her often. In the morning I usually go out into Lucy to drink my coffee and contemplate the day.

To update our total count, between Old Lucy, Little Lucy, and New Lucy, we have spent a total of 1,483 nights in our Airstreams, and have towed them a total of 120,150 miles, over nine years.

Did you mention in another post you got rid of Clarion speakers and installed Polk Audio speakers? Is the sound quality that much different? I always thought Clarion was a decent brand, but I always put Boston Acoustics and Rockford Fosgate and Alpine in my cars.

The process of changing out the Clarion speakers to the Polks is going from a $10 speaker to a $50 speaker. But, in addition, the factory simply screws the speakers to the aluminum or plywood with no real concern for the harmonic issues, audio characteristics of two aluminum plates, or the air space behind the speakers.

Thus, behind my new Polk Audio speakers, i have glued into the space closed cell foam, I call it kayak foam as it is sold usually at places to provide flotation for boats. This is an acoustically dense material and dampens any vibrations from the aluminum or plywood. Thus one gets a tighter sounding, more clear presentation from the new speakers. And they are not sub woofers, but the bass response from the Polks is so good, I have the subwoofer turned off most of the time.

The "Glue" i used was simply silicone sealant. And, in virtually every RV i have seen, the exception being Prevost or Newell, the audio systems have been the very least expensive possible. An upgrade for a small amount of money can give a huge difference. If I am not mistaken, the new Classic has Polk Audio speakers.

There are products in the car stereo realm for sound deadening like Dyna-mat and Hush-mat. Call me crazy, but I'll take a $32,000 or $42,000 car home the first day and Dyna-mat everything- headliner, floor, doors, trunk, and even the license plate-
I work for an air filter company. Polyester filters are the same material as poly-fil in comforters, jackets, and furniture padding. It makes a good fill for speaker boxes.
You ever hear of Alma Gates? Car stereo champion for years in her 60's and 70's-

I just used what I have in the past. Actually, automotive undercoat on cardboard works, or just sprayed on a surface.

Never heard of the stereo gal.
