There Goes My Bed

Took the FAN (Fly at Night) into the dealership this morning for winterization and some warranty work. They said it should be ready for pick-up this afternoon - would phone when ready.

Like an anxious parent I waited.....and waited.....and waited.

No phone call. The dealership is now closed for the day.

In the grand scheme of things, this may not seem like much of an issue -
except the FAN contains something most would consider to be somewhat important to human need and comfort -their bed!

Oh, I have somewhere else I can plop for the night, but it will seem strange sleeping in a "real house." I have slept in the FAN every night since purchase.

That's every night. All two-hundred and thirty of them.

Oh well. The Fly at Night should be home tomorrow.

Speaking of flying and beds.....this quote by Richard Branson always makes me laugh:
With the casino and the beds, our passengers will have at least two ways to get lucky on one of our flights.

Seems service places always say they'll call but usually don't. Every time we've checked on the status toward the end of the day, we get, "Oh, it's ready...has been for a while. You can come any time and pick it up." Makes me crazy.

lewis, not really. I full-time at night. I still have a house which has become a bit of a thorn in my side - too big, too much maintenance etc.

The FAN seems to be more of a home to me. So, I moved my best bedding to the trailer, stripped the bedrooms in the house, gave away the big bedroom suites thinking I'm done with them, and now I'm up the creek without a place to sleep so to speak.

I guess it's the sofa in the living room tonight.

Rich, oh brother. Thanks for filling me in. You'd think they could pick up a phone, huh?

I once had Freightliner of Houston detain me overnight with a simple repair to my big truck (my home) so I crawled into the sleeper of one of their display trucks and slept there. I didn't make the bed up afterward either.
