Question The other shoe????

I got a call from my neighbor last night. He has had his eye on a early 70's Overlander. It has been sitting for 10+ years. This poor thing is sunk in the ground to about 1 inch from the belly pan. I think he may get it real cheep. He wants to know if I would be interested......

I see it as parts, he sees it as a replacement for the Ambassador. Any thoughts on this....

I have to figure out where to put it too.....

Tedd,
Time to buy some acrerage...or the neighbor's house next door! If the price is right and you have the storage...you can't go wrong. If nothing else it can be parted out for more money to fix the one you have. Do I see Tedd's Haven and Home for Wayward Airstreams in the making ?

The more the merrier!

After falling in love with our first airstream ('75 Sovereign), we realized that two would make us happier.
A Globetrotter, A Caravel, A Traveler and another Caravel later, we are now even happier!
Go for it! Make it a His and Hers!

Ted, remember what I told you about finding another one two weeks after buying the first?

Fix the better of the two, and use the other for parts.

I have been inside this one. It feels about 10 feet shorter even though it is only 2 feet shorter. I have no interest in restoring it, just parts interest for my 67. It is too new for me to consider.

Ah, does this sound familiar, or what? My parents bought ours for us (we paid for it) from one of their "good old friends." Wellll, in the state in which we found it when we went up to retrieve it, the rig wouldn't have been worth but a fourth of what we paid!
