I have greatly enjoyed the VAP, and appreciate especially Colin's great knowledge and his willingness to share it. If it's over I wish the guys the best of luck for sure, and they will be missed.
Things change. The AirForums has, many times.

Thumbs up Colin if your out there

I had the honor of having Colin and crew rebuild my Airstream. It is my opinion, having spent a good deal of time with the man, they allowed me to watch and ask questions the whole time I was in the shop, that he is a genius, both with what he does and what he knows. I cannot imagine anyone else running GSM with the knowledge base that he has in all things mechanical. I know that as soon as he drops his hat somewhere, Florida maybe hint, hint, that I will be sending everyone I know to him for their repair work.

No, not Florida. Too many bugs and crocodiles plus the humidity. Arizona is the place to be for well dried out vintage units. Even bigger hint-hint.

Colin, I hope you're watching.

Well, the Luhrs have a home in Tucson. It would make a west coast Vintage Trailer Jam a lot easier.

Frank, parts of Arizona are closer to the West Coast than parts of California.

Very few parts of California are east of any part of Arizona!

I Say Colin should set up shop in Northern California! After all, he's a mechanical engineer and we're an engineering Mecca

I was thinking of calling The VAP "hotline" and suggesting a new location for Colin & Company myself. So here's my ideas:

1) 65% of the American population lives within 650 miles of Nashville.
2) Liberal, Kansas is the geographic center of the lower 48.
3) I have family land nearby that I'll make Colin a sweet deal on if he's interested. 'Course, it's a lot warmer here than what he's used to.

Just a couple of fresh ideas.

Jim

Arrow Not so.... shoeless Joe

Well I had no idea the VAP was still on the "air".
I happened to access the old VAP site today (Sept 28,2010) and saw that there was an episode # 123 entitled "FAREWELL".
Well I thought I remembered that the "end" was to come with episode # 100. (That's what this thread was originally about).
Lo & Behold I opened the episode and heard it announced as the Sept,24th 2010 show.
Lordy I missed 23 shows already. However due to the show Title "FAREWELL" I thought I may have found it again but too late.
Not to fear..the VAP survives, the farewell was pointing to the "retirement" from the cast of Rob Baker (of TAC fame). Sorry to see him leave, but I heard his explanation and can see his point. There are just so many hours in a week.
Tim & Colin will carry on for now.
