Wow, what a thread. A couple of observations here. One that has already been made is that this forum is filled with experts on the subject of Airsteam/Argosy trailers. It takes these folks a few seconds to find the obvious problems with these trailers. A few minutes to conjure the correct questions to ferret out the unseen. The cited advert clearly is over the top in hyperbolae . This could be a sales tactic, or deceit. Ebay is a place of public auction AND opinion. Nothing more, nothing less. If the seller is offended by the comments here, on this forum, then perhaps he should do a little more research and discover what a jewel he really has in his possession. Perhaps disclosing the known problems with the camper would be a better approach? Take the high road? The interior of this camper looks wonderful, short of the obvious problems. The exterior skins need work, that is obvious to even the novice observer.

One more thing. Knowingly speaking falsehoods about somebody is called slander. Knowingly writing falsehoods about somebody is known as libel. Please note the careful wording here.

Jim

Following is a question from the auction answered after the reply from the seller to this post.

It is copied directly from the Ebay auction site.

Q:
Hello What can you tell me about this trailer? Thanks
Nov-20-06
A:ALL BIDDERS SHOULD READ THIS EMAIL QUESTION I am glad to have the questions everyone bidding should ask questions It is a old trailer it has a dent and dirt on outside of it also paint is pelling off on a few spots the water tank/heater is bypassed so as not to freeze up we do not know of any leaks in system or roof we have not seen any the in side has stains on the curtins from waht we were told was a cooking smoke (smells like chicken) but everything else looks good to us we have not had the trailer very long and found we needed something smaller for a smaller auto. As with most older trailers it will need a good bath on the out side and it may need a few small things here and there but we have tried to be as honest as we can with listing. Please Please if you have any questions at all no matter how silly please ask before bidding we will do anything we can to answer them. WE are not trying to get over on someone just need to get rid of it. If you need pics of something special please send a email address and what you need to see and we will try to get it. We want the buyer to know what they are getting so we dont have a problem later on.AGAIN PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS

Wow they are really honest! Very very cool.
