Talking Tent camping in style

Took this picture a couple of weeks ago of a tent camped next to us. Check out the air conditioner in the side wall.

$130 a night to stay in a tent? I guess $35 a night for a high end RV site, isn't that bad after all. We usually pay around $22 a night around PA and Ohio. I heard some of the sites down in the FL Keys are around $85.

So, Shari... Is your tent covered in the little "G" patterm?

I can see a whole new market for clothes designers here...

Gucci Camping...

Before A/S I would have an annual "Girl Trip" with all my non-camping girlfriends...it was Gucci camping all the way! China, crystal, champagne, caviar and all the luxuries of home in the "Tent Mahal" a 12'x14' behemoth...but no little "G's" on it!

Great fun was had by all!

Shari

The possibilities are endless... Gucci camp stoves, towels, tents, sleeping bags, china & caviar dishes!

Hey now, don't stereotype all women...

No Gucci, fine china or cavier for me! I'm happy in my Levi's, t-shirt and Red Wing boots dining on burgers, corn-on-the cob washed down with a cold Miller! As a matter of fact, I wore my Red Wings with my wedding dress...heck of a lot more comfortable than any old high heels!

Do you know john hd the Miller guy? It's too bad you're married... sounds like you and John would be a match made in heaven!

Good for you! No stereotyping here... it's just as always tho... whatever sells gets produced. Who would ever have thought to put a window air unit into a tent? I mean, c'mon! How many of us has it ever occurred to? And yet, now roof A/C units are common on the new tent trailers. Who says that the next big marketing push for tents won't be that they're equipped for A/C?

So while they're at it, Gucci can make all of the necessary items for camping: designer tents with A/C ports, designer stoves, and caviar dishes!

Roger

p.s. love to see your wedding photo in the boots! feel free to post it!

The thing is...I like both! I'm a jeans & cowboy boot kinda gal one minute & dress-up and ready to go out on the town the next...the dichotomy of camping & caviar is what makes it fun! And getting my non-camping friends out of their element!

It's quite common to see them at Ft. Wilderness, Disney World.

There is one tent maker that actually makes the opening for the a/c to fit into that lines up with the a/c stand in the photo that I posted. The stand, BTW, is made to line up with most tent windows. Personally, I think it's the only way I want to tent camp in FL in the summer!
