Stolen Airstream Houston 72 Tradewind

I came into my office this morning and my 72 Tradewind was missing. Gate was open to the lot behind my office in Houston. Please be on the lookout.
It has a broken front streetside curved window. Thanks for any help. Also the awning looks like a tootsie roll on the side.

RichHog, I'm sorry to hear that. We'll keep our eyes open up this way. Let us know any other details that might help identify it.

That sucks. I vote for stringing the thief up.

I am so sorry to hear that. It is a big fear of mine. I have a 73 Overlander and I always worry about it. I have mine in the back yard with a fence. My neighborhood has been hit a couple of times recently. My next door neighbor lost all his landscape tools for his business. They broke into his garage and took everything. A house a few streets over had their house cleared out. People are getting desperate.

My advice would be to check with hunt clubs. If they cannot get plates for it and they know people will be looking they may keep it at a hunt club. We have several in Georgia and I have seen RV's parked for hunters.

good luck finding it.

Another place you might want to check is with the extension service. Farmers hire migrant workers and put them in RV trailers to live. I saw migrant communities this past weekend in So. Ill living in RV's.

Posts like this one are very disturbing to all of us on the forums. Let's hope we find this trailer very quickly. The custom wheels, awning and broken window will be very helpful for everyone who is looking.

Let's keep our finger crossed.

BTW, was there any video surveillance cameras in the area that might have recorded the trailer being towed away?

unfortunately no cameras on the lot and no insurance on the trailer. They will have to force open the door as they have no keys. The front broken window was the outer pane only so they may not feel the need to replace that soon.
Just did the police report, they didn't even ask for pictures so to them it's just a trailer.

Here's a prayer for the recovery of your AS, and to confound and capture the thief/thieves. Let's get the Almighty on 'em and see what happens!

Yuck - I am so sorry to hear about this. In case you haven't thought about it, perhaps there may be an opportunity to check with other local businesses on the same street and area who do have cameras and they could check their video for the last 24+ hours to see what may have driven past.

Good Luck! We're all praying for you.

Am attaching a page of info on the trailer. Thief may be looking for keys, lock for an Airstream of front window. Parts for fold down step. Please forward to known parts suppiers and be on the lookout for a newbie asking questions about an old Airstream.

Okay now we have two recent thefts in Texas. I'm concerned about my trailer even thought it is in a secured (supposedly) storage area. What are the best security devices? Tongue locks, lockable wheel chocks? Any ideas will be helpful! Thanks
